Smash Champion
UPDATE: Unfortunately, it looks like this will need to be postponed for a future date. I have found today that due to a modified Finals schedule, the UMBC Gameroom will not be open this weekend. I'm disappointed that I couldn't find this out sooner, but there seemed to be no indication of the gameroom being closed on Sunday until just this week.
I'm going to have to look into what the next weekend is that the gameroom will definitely be open for and plan for a tournament then.
Until that time, I would like to at least have some fests there on some weekday(s). I'll keep everyone updated with possible days coming up for festage in regards to the new schedule.
What's up everyone,
I'm looking to have fests at UMBC once again, focusing on melee and possibly brawl+. There's a multitude of games being played there constantly so pretty much any game is welcome
DATE: Sunday, May 17th
WHAT: Melee tournament / smashfest. This will include Brawl+ as well if there are enough set-ups and interest for it.
WHERE: The University of Maryland Baltimore County Game Room, located inside The Commons building on the 3rd floor.
PARKING: Free parking along the loop (Hilltop Circle) which circumferences the entire campus. Pretty much anywhere on the campus that doesn't require a permit is fair game.
* Please note that this is a smashfest first and foremost. Tournaments will happen depending on the turnout, number of players willing to enter etc.
WHAT WILL BE THERE ALREADY:
- 4 Regular TVs w/ cubes, some HDTVs, and possibly a big screen TV. This is an unofficial event, meaning it is not sponsored or hosted by UMBC in any way (Just like they used to be with the exception of Pound 3). Some of the TVs may have other games being played on them as they are not being reserved for our use or anything like that. I doubt there will be a shortage of TVs however, so there really isn't much need for anyone to bring TVs.
WHAT WE WILL NEED:
- EXTENSION CORDS, copies of melee, Wii's w/ Brawl+. Please note that this is a BYOC event (bring your own controller).
