I still say the reason for this is because they to announce the final 3rd party this month. And hopefully it's Mega Man.

I'll have to agree with Psycho, there isn't any reason to put X in. The original is pretty much the essence of the series. It's not just the fact that he started it all, but he's the one evreyone knows. Do you know anyone unfimiliar to the series who looks at Classic Megaman and says "Is that Megaman X?" Well, I don't anyway.

Icon Status: Megaman > X - As I explained previously.

Moveset Possibilites: Megaman > X - Sure X has armors, Z-Saber, and Maverick weapons, but Megaman has Rush armors, Rush abilites (Coil, Jet, Search, etc.), Master weapns, and misc off-ball techniques like the Mega Ball, Beat (if not used as an AT) and the Hyper Moves from MVC.

Popularity: Megaman = X - This is the only one where I'm truly uncertain. This is purely subjectional.

Mentions from Sakurai: Megaman > X - Megaman = 2 X = 0.

Likelyhood of playable cameos: Megaman > X - Megaman has been playable MvC, MvC2, and Cannon spike where as X has none unless you count the SNK card games and in that case Mega counters every one of them with a card of his own.

I'm not against X, but he has no chance as a stand alone charcter. His BEST chance is as an alternate costume and then there's the height issues.

Please don't make false speculation in support of a character... it really isn't that good XS

But X is great its just that... he is the Second best Mega man choice, and why would they chose the second best?

If X is the Twilight princess then Classic must be the OoT and EXE must be the... CDI!! (Also seriously if you think that EXE had a better story than X in ANY way then... words cannot express what I feel for you).

Dang... still waiting for Stryk's to migrate to P2W...

I'm still going for Megaman EXE. ALL of his games were on Nintendo consoles.

Considering the third party, there should be one more. So far we have:
Konami
Sega

Now, we should have:
Namco
Capcom

Those guys have been in relations with Nintendo for some time. Moving away, MegaMan EXE. has my full support! BTW, is there a Brawl support icon for Megaman EXE?

i think the classic megaman, or should i say, the megaman from the marvel vs capcom games, that would just fit better in my opinion. honestly i could acually picture this happening

Yes! of course! I love the X series much more than Classic, but it would be really weird if X was in instead. I think X is too emo for Brawl.:laugh:

Sigh...I don't think we will see X9....I thought X gave his life to end a major conflict? We'll he definately bit the big one, because in the Megaman Zero series, he pretty much shows up as a sage like figure and helps protect the resistance force from Dr. Weil.

If they made the 9th classic game... and at the end Mega man gets sent 2000 years into the future by Dr.Light's time machine who here would have a heart attack? *raises hand*

Also I read about this rumor on her site earlier...

But yhea... come on guys create more threads on P2W!

I'd have a heart attack, but for all the wrong reasons....

Megaman's weaponry would be absolutely useless! Lol. He would need to get some very crunk upgrades to hang with enemies 2000 years into the future. :ohwell:

Cyber-Elf, also it's explained that he was in a sort of limbo until z2 when he actually and (for now) permanently died thanks to a neo arcadian paperboy *cough*Elpizo*cough*

but then he got livemetaled with the other heroes for sailor--, err Megaman ZX:laugh:

I been predicting that for months! ever since inafune announced his "mystery" title for the Wii back in January. I've been sayin mega man will be in brawl, and get a new game on the wii. I doubt if surfer girl has any inside info, i hope she's right, but its not that hard to postulate those two events.

i mean mega man had high chances of being in brawl, and Inafune himself said he was making a new game for the wii. i mean cmon inafune=mega man.

I can comfortably say that if a newcomer isn't revealed tommorow, then Megaman would be revealed on Friday.

If i'm wrong, i'll suicide my account (with various H pics for everyone's liking!! :chuckle:)

This is wonderful news...
Even if it is just a rumor...
I pray to God Almighty that he will allow the creation of Rockman Dash 3 (RM 9 being almost as highly prayed for)...
The cliffhanger may be over!!!
Rockman may be revealed this week!!!
I may or may not have forgotten how to breath!!!

like I said earlier, this lack of characters might (and probably is) because of megaman getting anounced on monday. (Brawl would be complete to me if that happened, but I would still like some ridley)
