I checked walmart, gamestop, bestbuy, curcuit city, and none of them had the mega man X collection in it!!!
in fact, game stop was the only store left selling gamecube titles....
its sad...

I would go straight for Battle & Chase, not only because it's a classic series game, but because the X Collection was its first stateside release, & I haven't played it too much.

Technically speaking Battle & Chase happened first. What the deal, you've never played any X games at all? X1 & X2 are easy. X3 is pretty long. X4 is easy. X5 was kinda hard but at the cost of gameplay. X6 is frustrating because of silly gameplay gimicks.

I would like to play x1-3 first because I only got to play X7. I would then move on to battle&chase because It would be a short break from X games. that way, when I play x4-6, it feels fresh again.

You have to beat X1-3 to unlock BaC...
So yeah...
Zero's story in X4 is great, but the end sucked...
Also, sad to say, the GameCube version was awful...
They inversed the controls and wouldnt let you change them back...
It was infuriating...

i still recommed getting the X collection, but battle and chase was nothing special imo. i tried to play it on two seperate occasions, and i couldnt last longer than 5 minutes each time before i got tired of it....

not much of an unlockable then.
but 6 out of 7 good games for like, 5-20$? I'd say its still a good buy!

The third con is understandable but I think you underestimate the developers. You also have to keep in mind that Megaman has already been in several fighting games before so it's not like he's completely new to this concept. To add to this, some people who attended E for All commented that Sonic's moveset is based on the one he had in "Sonic: the Fighters."

I'm mostly known for my support of Geno but when it comes to characters I want in Brawl, Megaman's my second most wanted followed by Ridley, then Vaati, and then King Dedede who was already confirmed.

That's good to know. If a big debate about him surfaces, be sure to PM me about it and I'll be glad to help. Overall, Megaman's pretty much the next obvious third party choice:

1. He's been with Nintendo since the NES days.

2. He's appeared on every Nintendo console except the Virtual Boy.

3. He's starred in more then 80 games in the past 20 years, more then any other third party character.

4. Nintendo and Capcom have been on good terms since back in the arcade days and have even developed several joint projects together like the Legend of Zelda: the Minish Cap.

5. Megaman was the only third party character mentioned more then once in Sakurai's journal/Toukeden and only one of two character suggestions that Sakurai personally addressed (the other was Toad).

6. About 70% of his games are Nintendo exclusives and only five (technically three) of them have never been on a Nintendo console: Megaman Legends 2, Megaman X7 and 8, Megaman Powered Up *a remake of the original*, and Megaman X: Maverick Hunter *a remake of Megaman X*)

So that's basically it. I have a good feeling that he's going to be revealed by the end of the year and hopefully that comes true.

I do want megaman (The original NES model) in Brawl. He would be a nice character to use, and a lot of people would love him in. Though, a more creative idea is using either megaman.exe, or megaman X (this is possible considering the model of Snake was based on Sons of Liberty, which never released on a nintendo console, just like the X series). Though the NES model could have something to with rush as a final smash (such as dropping bombs from above) or the EXE or X model's final smash could be using a charged shot, similar to Samus's final smash.

His b moves (X) would be made up of Z saber (you have to have this one) maybe a charged shot, hovering (falcon armor, maybe downB/upB), and uh....be creative with this one.

Now that I think about it, the X megaman final smash could be Giga Attack (all screen attack in the game). Of course you would have to have some kind of control to it, but it would be nice. And his alternate colors would be different armors (falcon, giga, etc)

give me a minute, ill show you my moveset if I can find it..

but what I was thinking was that he could use his armors for the final smash, up B can be Haryuken, and the finish to the final smash(time out) can be a giga attack.(it wouldnt do a whole lot of damage since its unavoidable but it will have enough nockback to give megaman X his advantigous range.
also that mdule of snake was on a gamecube title at one point, I forgot its name...

AAA-jab, jab, pimpslap or uppercut

Ftilt-ganondwarf style kick
Dtilt-a sweep kick
Utilt-punches up into the air or jabs his X buster upwards

Smash attacks

Fsmash-does a sword swing.
Dsmash-he does a kick like mario's old down smash.
Usmash-he stabs with his sword upwards. or does a cresent swing of his sword, think a single swing version of link's smash up.

Final smash-
option A-he dawns one of his many armors and has a over all power boost. he also gains a few attacks that come with it.
option B-he gains one of his many armors with a power boost but doesnt gain any more attacks, he also doesnt flinch is this mode.
option C-super megaman Bot thing from M Vs C.
optionD-dawns one of his armors, and then gets a power boost, at the ending he does a giga crush attack or something.

B Moves-
B-X buster
^B-that upper cut attack or he uses his foot boosters(this move can be used while standing on another character for bonus damage to them)
>B zero style sword combo, kind of like marth/roys except without the color flashes and he swings differently.
DownB-A barrier of some sort, or copy grab.

taunts:

taunt 1-he shows a thumbs up and does his sparkle thing.(this is what he would use to either drop or switch his power between normal X buster and powered X buster)
taunt 2-he looks of into the background as if deep in thought.
taunt 3-he removes his X buster looks at it then reataches it.

1. Mega man EXE is not a creative idea. It is a stupid decision, a VERY stupid decision. And IMO classic Mega man would be more creative than X because it had more varied Robot masters.

2. X series had 3 games on the SNES... and then it had command mission and X collection on the Gamecube. Also X and classic are very DIFFERENT people while all Snake had was different cloths.

If X makes it into the game, I hope that he doesn't get the Z-Saber. It's Zero's weapon, not his! Just my opinion. At least, you could use the Light Saber item.
