I'll be repping the Red team this week with the Pit boys! It's still a shame I never see anyone else play obscure characters for Conquests.

As promised on page 10, Current Standings as of this post, which will also be the scores I'll be reporting this Thursday:

Points earned with Blue Coat :4drmario: were 16 points in 4 bouts on 3DS & 15 points in 7 bouts on Wii U. It would've been 6 bouts, were it not for me repping Boney Shirt :4lucas:, intending to bring down the 22 points I reported earlier, only to earn 10 points instead of the desired 7 points, so I went back down to 12 points.

I know not how everyone else is doing so far, but for sure, I've got 15 & 16 points covered for Team Mario.

On the Rebound: February 10th 2017 February 17th 2017

Team Fox Second with 33% in the whole World, 33% in the Americas, 35% in Europe and Oceania and 32% in Asia.
Team Ness Loses with 26% in the whole World, 26% in the Americas, 23% in Europe and Oceania and 27% in Asia.

The prize was Desperate Defender Overalls for 72 points to Team Mario.

Wii U Results:
Team :4mario: got 1st w/ 40% in the World, 40% in the Americas, 36% in Europe & Oceania, and 39% in Japan. Points earned with Blue Coat :4drmario: were, as stated earlier, 16 points in 4 bouts on 3DS & 15 points in 7 bouts on Wii U.
Team :4fox: got 2nd w/ 34% in the World, 34% in the Americas, 39% in Europe & Oceania, and 34% in Japan.
Team :4ness: got 3rd w/ 26% in the World, 26% in the Americas, 25% in Europe & Oceania, and 27% in Japan. Points earned with Boney Shirt :4lucas: was 10 points in 1 bout on Wii U., which is really 0, due to the original 25 for Team Mario draining those 10 points away.

Spoils for 1st on both 3DS & Wii U:

Desperate Defender Overalls (+72 Defense & -31 Speed)

FINALLY, a Round 2 of a Conquest that plays out EXACTLY like it did last time in terms of placements, including its 1st Place Prize, stats & all! The scores between the two, however, are more decisively in favor of Team Mario this time, as is Team Ness's 3rd Placement. Also, 15 points works for qualifying for the Equipment Prize? :dr^_^: WELL THEN, looks like the Minimum Point Floor's lower than I thought, which is what Steady suspected. Whether or not I'll need to test the numbers 10 & 11 this week will hinge on whether Steady or anyone else comes forth with either of those numbers checked, though between the 2, I reckon 11 would be our most likely new Minimum Point Floor. Until then, I'll be planning on aiming for those 2 numbers this week.

Points Earned So Far: 8 points on 3DS & 2 points on Wii U, both w/ :4ludwig:, who I'll definitely be repping for this week for Cruise Control, exactly like I did back then.

Place Predictions for both Wii U & 3DS:

1st: Cruise Control (Going with the classic assumption that any team that has :4falcon: in it will likely be a winning team. While :4bowserjr: will be The Load as usual, at least I can count on :4wario2: pulling his weight here.)

2nd: Butt Stomp (I've guessed this placement last time, despite not having actually said this out loud back then, which I was wrong about, due to :4bowser: not having his buffed UThrow back then. Now, however, he does, which will be helped by how Body Blow's entire trio have not been as blessed by the patches as Bowser has. :4peach: is as much of The Load as Jr, though :4wario:'s had more wins than....)

"Heh, you just couldn't help showing THAT off, could you, Splooshi?"

(Of course he couldn't, amongst all of your kind's signature moves, that's his most favorite one, even though he seems to INSIST that it looks better in sprite form, such as what's in this post, than it does on the Wii U for whatever reason....)

3rd: Body Blow (You may have once triumphed over Butt Stomp last time, but given the patches that have happened since then, I'm not foreseeing a repeat 2nd place finish for you this time, despite all 3 of you having more consistent performances than both Peach & even Yoshi.)

Misc. Stats of Mine for 3DS Specifically: 86 Conquest Wins & 5637 Total Points Contributed

Misc. Stats of Mine for Wii U Specifically: 92 Conquest Wins & 3855 Total Points Contributed

Friendly Reminder 3: To qualify for the 1st Place Prize in any given week, as this week's results by yours truly have shown so far, you'll need to have earned 15 points MINIMUM for 1 Side. Given that lowered confirmed minimum, I'll now advise aiming for 15+ points if you want to guarantee qualification. If any of you want to join me & Steady in finding the new Minimum Point Floor, you're welcome to do so. Just be sure to keep us updated on what number you DID reach, before this week is up, so that the rest of us can make adjustments if need be.

Edit: Thanks to BlakDragon, I can now confidently reduce the lowered confirmed minimum from 15 to 12. :D

Neat, another prize I missed out on the last time, obtained now! Desperate Defender's pretty effective with Desperate Specialist; the buffs from both effects are multiplied to your defense w/o any penalty that normally comes from using 2 of either effect. Combine this with a healing badge of some kind and you can pretty much not get KO'd, ever. :^)

To put this simply in an example, walking bob-ombs will only deal about 3 damage instead of their usual 25 with Desperate Defender + Desperate Specialist active simultaneously. (and +34 defense which is what I used in testing) Your launch distance goes down, too!

This time I'm actually in a good position to find out what the conquest prize's min. point threshold is. I've contributed 10 points to one version and 9 to another. If the minimum is 10, we'll know for sure; y'all focus on contributing as many points as you can this time if you like, unless you want to check with me using lower point counts than 9. Falcon's in play so I picked his team on both versions, of course.

e: BTW the minimum point goal for the Conquest prize is <15; I only contributed 12 points to On the Rebound's Team Mario on the 3DS version and got the Desperate Defender Overalls.

LAST WEEK: The numbers don't lie folks. As per usual, first won by a slimmer margin than predicted, with last also being a bit closer, but not enough to shake anything up.

Reward for 1st on the Wii U with 12 points:
Desperate Defender Overalls (+72 Defense, -31 Speed, *Improved defense in a crisis)

THIS WEEK: We actually have an incredibly tight race this week! Too bad it's for 2nd place.

#1 = Team Cruise Control
:4wario:: Wario is a burden, no two ways about it.
:4bowserjr:: Speaking of loads, Bowser Jr. is our biggest one of the week! Wow, this team really got the short end of the stick. How could they possibly pull this off?
:4falcon:: Oh. Oooooh. MVP of the week, top 3 powerhouse. If my numbers are right, Captain Falcon could literally win this alone (which he pretty much is doing anyways).

Expected final percentage: ~40%

#2 = Team Body Blow
:4jigglypuff:: Jigglypuff is a middle of the pack character for online usage. Not great, but not terrible.
:4luigi:: Luigi is also pretty average. Again, you could do worse.
:4sonic:: Sonic is actually the best character for this team with above-average representation, but it just isn't enough to claim the win.

Expected final percentage: ~31%

#3 = Team Butt Stomp:
:4yoshi:: Yoshi is this team's best asset, and is tied with Red team's best in an above-average performance.
:4peach:: The weak link for Green team, with a below average usage rate (though only just barely).
:4bowser:: Another character with average usage, Bowser is often enough of an X factor in conquest that he might take his statistically worse team up a spot.

Expected final percentage: ~30%

While I will always go with the numbers on my bet, in my mind the only sure spot is first going to :4falcon: (and guests). Also, while I would normally be putting points to :4bowser:, I have a point floor to find, so I'll go Blue for a tiny bit, aiming around 5 or 6 points.

And, for the third and final time, if you want to see where these numbers are coming from, drop into THIS THREAD RIGHT HERE, which I have been keeping up to date relatively well. That said, after two weeks of link drops and no bites, I may abandon the project. After all, if no one else is reading, all it does is stop me from trying to get tourney ready on Anther's instead of trolling For Glory. Alas...

I'm pleased to see that you already have both 9 & 10 points covered, BlakDragon. While I'm not entirely sure if we'll need to go any lower than 10, I appreciate the effort from both you and Steady, nonetheless, and as we'll soon see, I've been inspired enough to do my part in covering a number even lower than 9. ;)

Current Standings, as of the making of this post:

14 points in 2 bouts on 3DS & 10 points in 2 bouts on Wii U
, both with :4ludwig: of Cruise Control.

MINUS

3 points in 2 bouts on 3DS & 6 points in 1 bout on Wii U
, both with

EQUALS

11 points in 4 bouts on 3DS & 4 points in 3 bouts on Wii U, with said remaining points earned for Cruise Control, which I'll DEFINITELY lock in for this Thursday night!

I was originally intending to have 8 points on the Wii U to go a little lower than 9, but after finally taking the desired 1 stock from a :4cloud2: that was on the verge of 2-stocking me at almost 150% on my 2nd stock, my "I've gotta go in as hard as I possibly can at 150% on my last stock to get the most out of max Rage, even if it means potentially getting DSmashed 1st thing!" instincts naturally kicked in, overwriting my about-to-be-satisfied original plan of taking 1 stock off of my opponent before losing for 2 points, and after a few solid hits, I've had him off-stage long enough for me to start hunting for nose dunks, which he survived the 1st of, but not the 2nd.

My accidentally impressive win, which I did unfortunately forget to save the replay for, is actually a blessing in disguise, for I'll be able to help cover the possibility that the Minimum Point Floor turns out to be even lower than 9 or 10 or 11 points. I truly believe that this is going to be thee week in which we'll find out the new Minimum Point Floor! :happysheep: I must say, who would've thought that :4falcon: would be a prominent figure for both weeks in which the discovery of the Minimum Point Floor was imminent? :surprised:

Finally! Last week's conquest is my first win in probably 6 months (or something like that. welp...). Anyhow, I'm going to be supporting the green team this week with mainly Yoshi and maybe Bowser.

Wii U Results:
Body Blow got 3rd w/ 27% in the World, 29% in the Americas, 26% in Europe & Oceania, and 24% in Japan.

Spoils for 1st on 3DS:

Food Lover Overalls (+73 Defense & -30 Speed) (1.5x damage healed when eating food.)

Spoils for 1st on Wii U:

10,000G

FINALLY, a Round 2 of a Conquest that plays out EXACTLY like how I predicted back then in terms of placements! As Steady noted, this really was a close race for 2nd, given how solidly Cruise Control took 1st this time too. Also, 11 points works for qualifying for the Equipment Prize, yet 4 failed? :dr^_^: Well well well, it's really looking like we've found the Minimum Point Floor this week, but I don't quite want to boldly claim that, just yet, until Blak, Steady, & possibly anyone else come forth with how their stated numbers between 6 thru 10 went. In the meantime, I can at least personally confirm the following in red:

4 points & below are too low to qualify. 11 points & above DO qualify.

*Cue "VS. Lor Starcutter" from the Kirby's Return to Dreamland OST*

Points Earned So Far: 10 points on 3DS & 5 points on Wii U, both w/ Green "Other Phase" :4myfriends:, who I'll definitely be repping this week for Cutters, exactly like I did back then, though this time, I'll fully do so.

Place Predictions for both Wii U & 3DS:

1st: Cutters (Given how decisively this duo won it over Team Cut last time, it stands to reason that they're more than capable of doing it again now, especially after the buffs that the patches between the very beginning of 2015 and now have given them (Slightly less so for :4metaknight:, but MK Leo still probably has him as a pocket, somewhere....).)

2nd: Cut (Let's be real for a moment here: Cut lost DECISIVELY last time, and since both Ike & MK see more airtime in general (including actual tournaments) than both WFT & Doc, I can only foresee another decisive loss for Cut this week.)

Misc. Stats of Mine for 3DS Specifically: 87 Conquest Wins & 5656 Total Points Contributed

Misc. Stats of Mine for Wii U Specifically: 93 Conquest Wins & 3874 Total Points Contributed

Friendly Reminder 4: To qualify for the 1st Place Prize in any given week, as this week's results by yours truly have shown so far, you'll need to have earned 11 points MINIMUM for 1 Side. Given that lowered confirmed minimum, I'll now advise aiming for 11+ points if you want to guarantee qualification. Again, once Blak, Steady, and possibly someone else come forth with their results, this will be further clarified.

11 points is indeed the minimum to win the custom part prize. I was awarded the 10,000 coins after contributing 10 points to one version and 9 points to another.

This was a good week to finally pinpoint the threshold! The Food Lover effect isn't the most effective bonus in the game, and we happened to contribute the right number of points. The pieces fell into place. =)

I'm going to use Meta Knight this week, he's a good deal quicker than Ike, and imo easier to steal kills with in FFAs. I wonder what the prize will be, though; I used the search engine but found nothing regarding the prize of Cut vs Cutters Round 1.

LAST WEEK: The threshold was found already? Cool. Also, no surprises tot he results.

Reward for 1st on the Wii U with 6 points:
10,000 G

THIS WEEK: Not going to do a big breakdown this week, but team cutter should win. Ike is by far the most popular of the 4, and even with meta knight being the lowest it isn't by much. I'll probably throw a couple points at Wii Fit, but I'm actually taking a bit of a break from smash I think. The FINAL update to the usage list will come later today, so if people want my input in the future it will be there.

Yay. Another conquest which I might win. I'm repping the blue team with my main, Meta Knight. And I do wish the people who actually bother to represent the lesser played characters, get something a little better. But them this is a huge popularity contest, so my wishes will be futile.

Wii U Results:
:4wiifit: & :4drmario: got 2nd w/ 29% in the World, 33% in the Americas, 30% in Europe & Oceania, and 22% in Japan.

:4myfriends: & :4metaknight: got 1st w/ 71% in the World, 67% in the Americas, 70% in Europe & Oceania, and 78% in Japan. Points earned with Green "Other Phase" :4myfriends: were 18 points in 2 bouts on 3DS & 17 points in 3 bouts on Wii U.

Spoils for 1st on both 3DS & Wii U:

Trade-off Defender Sword (+65 Attack & -31 Defense) (Start the match with 30% damage, but take only 0.8x damage from attacks.)

As predictably obvious now as it was, back then. Other than Team Cutters dominating with slightly more percent than last time, 'nuff said?? :ohwell:

Points Earned So Far: 7 points on 3DS & 10 points on Wii U, both w/ GreenDee:4dedede:, who I'll definitely be repping this week for Charge Attackers, exactly like I did back then, though this time, I'll fully do so, instead of spreading myself thin with all 3 sides, not knowing of how exactly this system worked, back then....

Place Predictions for both Wii U & 3DS:

1st: Counter Strikers (You'd THINK that :4palutena: would surely drag this team down to 2nd place. However, last time, all the way back in the beginning of 2015, this trio convincingly took 1st place. Now, with :4marth: having been declared an A-rank high-tier recently by the Sm4sh Backroom, this team's looking poised to defend their 1st place title.)

2nd: Charge Attackers (Consistent performers all around, with :4samus: as a notable Powerhouse. However, despite no obvious Load here, they only got 2nd place last time. Palutena's Load status is what this trio's going to have to bank on if they're going to take 1st this week.)

3rd: One-Hit Wonderlands (No one here screams Powerhouse, plus this trio got 3rd place back then, which is what I'm foreseeing this team getting again. :dr-_-:)

Misc. Stats of Mine for 3DS Specifically: 88 Conquest Wins & 5671 Total Points Contributed

Misc. Stats of Mine for Wii U Specifically: 94 Conquest Wins & 3896 Total Points Contributed

Friendly Reminder 5: To qualify for the 1st Place Prize in any given week, as the collaborative efforts by Blak, Steady, and yours truly have shown within 2 weeks, you'll need to have earned 11 points MINIMUM for 1 Side. Given that newly lowered confirmed minimum, I'll now advise aiming for 11+ points if you want to guarantee qualification. 10 & below are too low to qualify.

Yay. I actually won twice in a row :bee: And I don't care that I may be one of the only people who plays as :4palutena:consistently in conquests (and lose a lot XD), I'm still gonna do it anyways.

Neat prize! I like to combine different badges that achieve the same goal (in this case this prize and caloric defender both increase defense) for higher returns. Shulk is a notable beneficiary because he can combine several badge boosts with his Monado Arts. You'd be surprised at how much damage he can deal or how little damage he takes, all things considered. Give him a try!

I'm going to trust that the blue team will take this Conquest round for the second time and pick Marth. Prior to this round I've only really used Shulk a fair amount, but I want to use Marth because he has safer buttons.

I've used Marth in a few Conquest rounds and I'm liking those safe buttons a lot. He may be a keeper when this is over.

Wii U Results:
Charge Attackers got 2nd w/ 35% in the World, 33% in the Americas, 32% in Europe & Oceania, and 38% in Japan. Points earned with GreenDee:4dedede: were 16 points in 2 bouts on 3DS & 14 points in 2 bouts on Wii U.

Counter Strikers got 1st w/ 41% in the World, 41% in the Americas, 43% in Europe & Oceania, and 42% in Japan.

One-Hit Wonderlands got 3rd w/ 29% in the World, 33% in the Americas, 30% in Europe & Oceania, and 22% in Japan.

Spoils for 2nd on both 3DS & Wii U:

1000G

And so, history repeats itself this week, as both myself and Blak have suspected was going to happen. At least Charge Attackers were a little closer to 1st place than last time, so it wasn't AS dominant this time. :drshrug:

Points Earned So Far: 14 points on 3DS (!? Yes, you're reading this correctly; I scored that many in 1 bout, thanks to all 3 combatants somehow disconnecting before the match actually got started, yet I got to keep going, regardless. Needless to say, even though I consider my BaeYOOO to be pretty bad (I'm talking, "I can't consistently do the classic juggle-you-to-the-ceiling-until-KO combos" levels of bad here!), they were easy pickings for raw charged FSmashes. :smirk:) & 5 points on Wii U, both w/ Pink-suited :4bayonetta2:, who I'll definitely be repping this week for the Umbra Witch, exactly like I did back then, right down to the Pink suit.

Place Predictions for Wii U:

1st: :4bayonetta: (Much like :4cloud:, when she FINALLY showed up to this exact 1st Conquest of hers, she solidly took it over her opponents, even though she had the 1.1.15 nerfs going into it. Also like :4cloud2:, despite the gigantic laundry list of nerfs that 1.1.16 slapped her silly with, leading many to think that she's fallen from grace, myself included, she STILL managed to be one of the best peeps around. Given the extensive amount of high-profile tournament appearances that she still gets to this day, along with the Sm4sh Backroom tier list putting her at S-rank, she's poised to defend this... on the Wii U at least.)

2nd: :4darkpit: & :4pit: (Admittedly, it wasn't a complete blowout last time, but considering that Miss BaeYOOO's still one of the best peeps around, and that these 2 remain uncommon on the competitive scene, I'm inclined to put them here.... on the Wii U.)

Place Predictions for 3DS:

1st: :4pit: & :4darkpit: (Like :4link:, they're not DLC, so not only do you NOT have to shell out the extra cash, but there's 2 of them on this team, and one of the classic rules of thumb is that the team with the most reps in it tend to have the edge over those who have less.)

2nd: :4bayonetta2: (I'm suspecting the "DLC aren't so dominant on 3DS" expectation to befall her now, like it did for :4cloud: against :4link: earlier this year. Plus, she's not as easy to play on the 3DS as it is on the Wii U.)

Misc. Stats of Mine for 3DS Specifically: 88 Conquest Wins & 5694 Total Points Contributed

Misc. Stats of Mine for Wii U Specifically: 94 Conquest Wins & 3905 Total Points Contributed

Friendly Reminder 5 (Same as last week, so consider this part a staple of these posts from this point onwards): To qualify for the 1st Place Prize in any given week, as the collaborative efforts by Blak, Steady, and yours truly have shown within 2 weeks, you'll need to have earned 11 points MINIMUM for 1 Side. Given that newly lowered confirmed minimum, I'll now advise aiming for 11+ points if you want to guarantee qualification. 10 & below are too low to qualify.

Sweet. I was with the majority again! I guess having Marth and Shulk as teammates helps a lot.

On both systems, I will be representing my mains; :4pit: and/or :4darkpit:.

Unfortunately, :4bayonetta: is way more popular in the competitive scene, so it means that both casual and competitive players will be playing as her, regardless of her DLC status. (Please prove me wrong world)! So I don't expect to win this week, but I will be happy if I do.

Nice, just as predicted! The prize for first is a Hyper Smasher Sword (+61 attack, -30 defense). I only really use charged smash attacks to punish a laggy option or broken shield, so I don't think I'll use this often. Having typed that, I think Marth is the best beneficiary because all 3 of his smash attacks come out quickly, and he breaks shields often. Fully-charged tipper f-smash would probably kill at like....20 on average with this prize. Yikes...

I predict that the angelic duo will win out on both versions; they don't have a lengthy list of nerfs that would make players disinterested in using them, and it's 2 fighters against 1. Wii U Bayonetta players saw victory last time, sure, but not by a large margin (even then one of the 3 regions favored the Pits anyway). Going to use Dark Pit and fish for early side b kills, same game plan as the last time I enlisted him.

Wii U Results:
Angelic Forces got 2nd w/ 49% in the World, 49% in the Americas, 46% in Europe & Oceania, and 52% in Japan.

Umbra Witch got 1st w/ 51% in the World, 51% in the Americas, 54% in Europe & Oceania, and 48% in Japan. Points earned with Pink-suited :4bayonetta2: were 14 points in 1 bout on 3DS & 12 points in 2 bouts on Wii U.

Spoils for 2nd on 3DS:

1000G

Spoils for 1st on Wii U:

Smooth Lander Boots (+57 Speed & -30 Attack)

Speaking of history repeating itself, this be the 2nd week in a row in which that happens, right down to the Pits winning in Japan, though the scores were significantly closer this time around, so props to them, I'd say. :sheep: 'Tis unfortunate that both YoshiDryBones & BlakDragon didn't call it on the Wii U, but at least you both surely did call it on the 3DS, so at least there's that. :>

Points Earned So Far: 11 points on 3DS (Like last week, spoilers, this'll be my final score for this week on this side of my participation. :dr^_^:) & 2 points on Wii U, both w/ :4feroy:ellow Armored :4marth:, who I'll definitely be repping this week for the 1980s & 1990s Team, exactly like I did back then, right down to the coattail-riding motive.

Place Predictions for both Wii U & 3DS:

I'll admit, last time, the only team I was certain about was 2000s in last place. Now with last year's results firmly in the record Page 7 of this Thread, I'm more certain about which team's going where:

1st: 1980s & 1990s (Despite :4metaknight: being the clear Load, this team solidly won this last year, and with MK Leo's :4metaknight: and especially :4marth: having come to prominence over the last few months, they're looking poised to defend their 1st place title.)

2nd: 2010s (No immediate Loads here, but that alone wasn't enough for them to take 1st last time, so I'd imagine a repeat 2nd place happening for them, since :4link: & :4cloud2: are just that mighty of a duo for :4shulk: & :4corrinf: to contend with.)

3rd: 2000s (Going with the classic "Team with least amount of peeps in them are bound to lose" belief here, which is surely what put them here, last year.)

Well at least my angelic duo won on one system. I have way better custom equipment on the 3DS than on the Wii U, so I'm happy with the results. But the fact that 2 characters lost to just 1 character just shows how popular Bayonetta is on the Wii U.

This week, my 3rd main Meta Knight is in the play, so I'll be repping team 80's/90's. Here to hoping I can keep my win streak going.

And why is the Smash Team recycling old conquest themes anyways? I want to see new themes with new teams/characters for each round. Besides, it doesn't seem like any of the results have changed much between now and back then. It's time to come up with a new theme.

Wow, what a margin to win by.

Dang it, in hindsight I definitely should've played Bayonetta on Wii U for Smooth Lander Boots; that would've been fantastic to have as several fighters can use boots. If the duo won out on that version anyway, so be it. I don't touch them at all even with prizes as awesome as theirs; they're too basic and don't gain anything immediately threatening with equipment (or they do and I'm not looking hard enough for what that may be)!

I don't expect a shift in results for Legendary Duelists this time, so I'll be using Marth/Cloud. I already have the prize from last time on Wii U (Item Lobber Sword) so that'll be nice to have on 3DS too.

2000s got 3rd w/ 22% in the World, 23% in the Americas, 22% in Europe & Oceania, and 22% in Japan.

Wii U Results ((From Last Time/Year)):

1980s & 1990s Team got 1st with 47% in the World, 48% in the Americas, 49% in Europe & Oceania, and 43% in Japan. Scores achieved with :4feroy:ellow armored :4marth: were 23 on Wii U & 82 on 3DS.

2010s Team got 2nd with 30% in the World, 29% in the Americas, 29% in Europe & Oceania, and 34% in Japan.

2000s Team got 3rd with 23% in the World, 23% in the Americas, 22% in Europe & Oceania, and 23% in Japan.

Prize for 1st on both 3DS & Wii U was an Item Lobber Sword with +88 Attack and -9 Defense.
3rd week of historical repeats, as YDB, BD, and myself all called it correctly, and this time, the 80-90s Team won more dominantly, perhaps taking some of 2010s's points? :p

*Cue "Good Fighter [bliriant mix]" (Personally, it should really be called "Good Dancer [bliriant mix]", but that might just be me. :awesome:) by Hideki Okugawa & Yuki Iwai from the STREET FIGHTER III: New Generation Original Arrange Album, located in the Spoiler Tab below for the hype~*
<Sylus the male non-shiny :235: with an orange-colored tail tip and a tangerine-colored bowtie> *Calmly clasps both hands* "I beg your pardon, Tartoon, but I ask this on Splooshi's behalf, since he believes it more fitting for me than him to ask this of you, since he's not exactly one for prying into a matter like this in his own voice: A 'certain' portrait of yours that you once drew for this exact week seems to be absent from your post, despite now being the perfect opportunity for it to resurface here. Why is that? Forgot about it? Embarrassed? Some other reason that you may not be comfortable with stating aloud here?"

<Splooshi, aka RL Me> If it's yes to either of your last 2 questions, Sylus then I'd respect Tartoon's wish by not prying any further, though I CAN thank you for being the kind of 'Mon who WOULD ask this sort of thing to your older sister Artasia. If he wants to, then he will. If not, then so be it.

<Sylus> *Bows with only his left arm in front of himself* Why thank you, Splooshi, for appreciating my bravery. Whatever he does IS his choice, after all. ¦) *Grabs his "stylus", aka tail, with his right hand* Now then, shall we continue onwards with our regularly scheduled programming?

<Splooshi> Gladly. >:)

<Sylus> Since I've done the one thing you've summoned me here for, I'll gladly take my leave, since I'm feeling VERY inspired to begin my next painting, much like you are with your next short song, whatever its subject matter may be~ :) *Lets go of his tail and excitedly runs off-stage with an eager smile*

Points Earned So Far: 7 points on 3DS w/ Arctic :4lucario: (Who I'm planning on repping this time for the 3DS) & 7 points on Wii U w/ "Goku" :4ryu:, who I'll definitely be repping this week on the Wii U, exactly like I did back then, right down to the outfit.

Place Predictions for 3DS:

1st: :4lucario: Top 3 reasons: 3rd: You're not DLC on a platform where folks tend to not rep DLC.

2nd:

1st: IMO, the most recent & important reason that might still be fresh in players' minds, especially with 2GG Civil War being this very weekend, which WILL have Tsu in attendance:

2nd: :4ryu: (Back then, you had the freshness of the DLC Hype Train helping you out here. Now, not so much, and it doesn't help that doing True Special motions on the Circle Pad's more difficult than it is with :GCN:, though on the flipside, consistent B-Reverse Aura Sphere Charges are tough to do with a Circle Pad as well.)

Place Predictions for Wii U:

1st: :4ryu:(You see more consistent actual tournament air time than Lucario, you're considered A-Tier by the Backroom Tier List, and the Wii U is where DLC generally thrives.)

2nd: :4lucario: (I'll admit, the raw amount of HYPE that Tsu generated with him during Frostbite 2017, and probably will at 2GG Civil War, is TEMPTING me to put him in 1st here too. >XO)

Well, I don't have :4ryu: on either console so I don't have a choice of who I can rep this time around.

I can't say who will win for sure, but I'll predict :4lucario:to win on both consoles because he's not DLC and Ryu has a steep learning curve, which could hurt his chances.

Ryu's learning curve is why I won't touch him on the 3DS version. I do not feel like SDing half the time when using the wrong move at the wrong time. I'll try to use him on the Wii U version given how dominantly he won there last time. The notches on the gamecube controller should help me control Ryu better, at least.

Also, yay I have a maxed Item Lobber Sword on my 3DS (and two on Wii U). Now my swordsmen can carry those 200-attack/slightly-lowered-defense builds thanks to this and other prizes I've won. Nice.

Wii U Results for Round 2:
:4ryu: got 1st w/ 56% in the World, 57% in the Americas, 54% in Europe & Oceania, and 55% in Japan. Points earned with "Goku" :4ryu: was 13 points in 2 bouts on Wii U.

:4lucario: got 2nd w/ 44% in the World, 43% in the Americas, 46% in Europe & Oceania, and 45% in Japan. Points earned with Arcticario was 14 points in 2 bouts on 3DS.

Spoils for 1st on 3DS:

Desperate Speedster X Speed (+70 Speed & -33 Attack)

Spoils for 1st on Wii U:

Desperate Speedster Shin Guards (+70 Speed & -33 Attack)

4th week of historical repeats, as YDB, BD, & myself all called it correctly (Well, except for YDB's prediction of :4lucario: winning on the Wii U, but he DID win the 3DS side, so his predictions were half-right, at least. :) ), though this time, :4lucario: generally took a whole 10 more percent across the board than before. Perhaps Tsu's incredible performance at Frostbite 2017 was what helped him take that much percent? :p

While Nexin was spot-on about his last paragraph for the 3DS version, his unedited paragraphs in regards to the Wii U version....

*Cue the Stage Results Theme from SF3:3S*

Wii U Results from Round 1:
:4lucario: got 2nd place with 36% in the World, 34% in the Americas, 41% in Europe & Oceania, and 38% in Japan.
:4ryu: got 1st place with 64% in the World, 66% in the Americas, 59% in Europe & Oceania, and 62% in Japan. Total Points given to Ryu was 34 on Wii U and 54 on 3DS.

Prize for 1st on Wii U was Desperate Speedster Shin Guards (didn't get to check the stats yet).
Prize for 2nd on 3DS was 1000g.
*Cue "Diet (Yuri Sakazaki)" from The King of Fighters XI PS2 OST*

<Sylus the male non-shiny :235: with an orange-colored tail tip and a tangerine-colored bowtie> It's the 2nd week in a row where Tartoon has actually drawn a picture for it. Pray tell, why are neither of them here on this page?

<Splooshi, aka RL Me> I'm sure he has his reasons, Sylus. Our readers can go check out Page 6 of this thread if they want to see them.

<Sylus> Very well then, I'll leave him be, just like what you're doing. If next week is another one he's drawn, however, I can't guarantee that I'll NOT point it out.

<Splooshi> And I'll then point out which page that one's on. Anyways, it's about time we resume our Regularly Scheduled Programming, so let's get to it.

<Sylus> Another idea for another painting has come forth, and I MUST capitalize on it, so farewell readers! *Hastily runs off-stage in excitement!*

Points Earned So Far: 10 points on 3DS & 7 points on Wii U, both w/ Fire Flower :4peach:, who I'll definitely be repping this week on both 3DS & Wii U, exactly like I did back then, right down to the outfit.

Place Predictions for both 3DS & Wii U:

1st: :4peach: (Your B-Rank placement on the Backroom Tier List is a boon for you, as is Samsora making waves. You've also taken 1st place last time on the Wii U, so I'm inclined to believe you'll be defending your title this week, even on the 3DS, where Pac won before.)

2nd: :4pacman: (I'll be real for a moment: Abadango dropping you for :4mewtwo: was a major blow to your representation, as is your E-Tier placement on the Backroom Tier List. How you won on the 3DS last time is still beyond me, but given how uncommon you are in actual tournament play, as well as how infrequently you win Conquests (including being a part of winning teams), I'm inclined to put you here, especially on the Wii U.)

3rd: :4diddy: (ZeR0 and your numerous players may make frequent appearances in actual tournaments, but what baffles me is how poorly you tend to do in Conquests, including this one, where you clearly took 3rd on both 3DS & Wii U. Given that past performance, that's where I'm expecting you to be, this time.)

Misc. Stats of Mine for 3DS Specifically: 90 Conquest Wins & 5729 Total Points Contributed

Lol I'm stuck in 3DS's For Glory Hell again but I still managed to contribute a good 47 points to Team Dog. This is the pattern I've noticed: I've literally only been fighting other good players in 1-on-1 mode since; the anonymous playerbase of this game is a bunch of sore losers that like to punish skilled players, I guess :( I even ran into a skilled Pikachu/Greninja player with jab-lock/footstool combos; even if I died to a few of them that's so cool because that's not easy to do online (compared to the offline setting, anyway) how are you going to report them out of spite, man?!

Rant over. I'm happy I won both prizes. I was complaining about Ryu from the start, but after using him a few times I can see myself eventually picking him up because his buttons are so effective! Still won't touch him on 3DS, though.

I can already see Desperate Speedster working well with Lucario since he already powers up with damage taken, namely to widen the effective range of up-throw > up-air.

Fun fact: the Desperate badge series normally activate once per stock, but Lucario can make it trigger another time on the same stock after he uses up his Final Smash (this also works for Bowser, Little Mac, and Wario)! Doesn't work with Desperate Immortal, though =x

e: btw gonna use Peach on Wii U and Pac-Man for 3DS for A Balanced Diet. Gonna play for the same results as last time and hope it works out; I'm especially looking forward to using Peach finally, she looks fun (and I lose horribly to well-played ones so I'm remedying this by learning her tricks lol).

I don't know who will win this time, but I definitely think :4pacman: will come last on both systems. I am not interested in this conquest too much, so I won't play much, but I may give a few points for :4peach: on both systems if I feel like it.

Wii U Results for Round 2:
:4peach: got 2nd w/ 35% in the World, 39% in the Americas, 40% in Europe & Oceania, and 27% in Japan. Points earned with Fire Flower :4peach: were 12 points in 4 bouts on Wii U & 15 points in 2 bouts on 3DS.

:4diddy: got 1st w/ 37% in the World, 34% in the Americas, 36% in Europe & Oceania, and 40% in Japan.

:4pacman: got 3rd with 28% in the World, 27% in the Americas, 24% in Europe & Oceania, and 33% in Japan.

Spoils for 2nd on 3DS AND Wii U:

1000G
Wii U Results:

Peach got 1st place with 40% in the World, 43% in the Americas, 41% in Europe & Oceania, and 30% in Japan. Total Points given to her was 23 on the Wii U and 56 on the 3DS.
Pac-Man got 2nd place with 32% in the World, 31% in the Americas, 31% in Europe & Oceania, and 37% in Japan.
Diddy got 3rd place with 28% in the World, 26% in the Americas, 28% in Europe & Oceania, and 33% in Japan.

Prize for 1st on the Wii U was a Caloric Defender Dress.
Prize for 2nd on the 3DS was 1000g.
Wow, I'm positively surprised that my prediction was absolutely spot-on for the Wii U version.

The 3DS version however... I'll let Tartoon share that one. ;P A pleasant surprise awaits you there, abx. ;)

5th week of historical repeats... for the 3DS. However, on the Wii U, I've had virtually every single position WRONG, despite basing them on last time! 8O
I'll admit, I don't quite understand how & why :4pacman: won on the 3DS both times, but to me, the bigger mystery this week is how :4diddy:, who's normally NOT known for winning these by himself, somehow, someway, did so for the exact one where he firmly got 3rd place last time. I can at least understand him beating Pac , but Peach too?? Did I miss something else during that week, other than Tweek's :4dk: getting REAL close to beating ZeR0 last weekend??

*Cue "HEAVY METAL BOMBER (From Thunder Cross II)" from the Otomedius OST*

Points Earned So Far: 7 points on 3DS & 11 points on Wii U, both w/ Green Suited :4samus:, who I'll definitely be repping this week on both 3DS & Wii U, exactly like I did back then, right down to the outfit.

Place Predictions for both 3DS & Wii U:

1st: Time Bombs (It's already PRETty clear that they're poised to win this week, given how dominant they were last time, and just in case there wasn't enough assurance for this, ESam's Samus & T's Link both had a big showing at 2GG Civil War.)

2nd: Trigger Bombs
"Splooshi's PRETty sure that the Blue Bomber I'm adorably standing in for with his Mega Buster is why this duo's reaching 2nd."

3rd: Remote Bombs
(Were this like most actual tournaments, I'd be getting carried by :4sheik: SO MUCH, since she not only shows up more than anyone else this week, but also regularly places high too!)

(Alas, it's PRETty much a given that we're going to lose this AGAIN!)

(AM I EVER GOING TO WIN ONE OF THESE!?)

Misc. Stats of Mine for 3DS Specifically: 90 Conquest Wins & 5741 Total Points Contributed

Misc. Stats of Mine for Wii U Specifically: 97 Conquest Wins & 3959 Total Points Contributed

Self-RP Scene Tease Count in Relation to Previewing Shimmering Eyes in Some Way: 8 Weeks So Far

Pre-emptively leaving this here, a week in advance~
Wii U Results:
1st place goes to :4link: & :4samus: with 56% in the World, 56% in the Americas, 56% in Europe & Oceania, and 54% in Japan. Points given to this team (also including Green/Fusion Suit Spamus) were 24 on the Wii U & 40 on the 3DS.
2nd place goes to :4megaman: & :4bowserjr: with 24% in the World, 24% in the Americas, 23% in Europe & Oceania, and 24% in Japan.
3rd place goes to :4sheik: &
with 20% in the World, 20% in the Americas, 21% in Europe & Oceania, and 22% in Japan.

Prize for 1st on the Wii U (and 3DS, as soon as my 3DS can let me get inside without Communication Errors forcing me out) is a Bob-omb Booster. EDIT: With +78 Speed & -31 Attack.

While I'm impressed that I accurately predicted all 3 places, personally, it's rather unfortunate that the ONE time that BOTH :4bowserjr: AND :4duckhunt: are in the same Conquest, I ended up repping NEITHER of them, and instead sold out to "BLUE KNIGHT" and "Green/Fusion Suit Spamussssss~" (who I actually repped more often than Link, and I'll admit, I DID spam Missiles WHILE shorthopping towards folks until someone or I got close enough to be within melee range). Were it not for those two, I would've had a seriously tough decision to make, with their partners (or lack thereof) being the major factor that would've influenced which of the two I'd side with.
*Strangely thinks of bumping up the Hoshino Version of Aqua's Song for DH and the Nohr Version of Aqua's Song for Jr & the Koopalings.....*

Without any partners, I would've went with :4ludwig:-- *Cue the Nohr Version of Aqua's Song (aka Hitori Omou) and me militantly tapping my feet to the beat* As I've once explained on the previous page's provided links, as well as his 2 shocking wins last year.
With that Conquest's team-ups, I still would've went with :4larry:, due to :4megaman: having had stronger performances during his appearances thus far than :4sheik:.

Huh. The 3DS results were pretty different from that of the Wii U surprisingly. I didn't end up contribute anything last week so I didn't win or lose.

And it appears this week doesn't feature any characters I'm interested in, so I'll likely skip out.

Wow Japan showed up for Diddy this time. Grats to them and their earning of the Caloric Defender Hat.

Caloric Defender Helmet (or any of the caloric series) is really good for Pac-Man because he can generate his own food, his Side-B pellet, to activate the effect. Have the pellet dislodge from a stage hazard or an enemy's projectile to easily get that power-up! =)

I'm STILL in 3DS For Glory Hell so I'm particularly worried about earning enough to win the prize there. Sure, Samus & Link are shoe-ins for victory on both versions given past results, but a) I don't have a Link and b) I have an OK Samus but p much everybody you fight in For Glory Hell eats Samus players alive unless they're really competent. =(

Was Bombs Away the final Conquest? Where you'd usually have the current Conquest displayed it just says "Results announced!" or something like that and shows the results of Bombs Away.
