The Official Claus (The Masked Man) for SSBB thread, Mother 3 Spoilers

I'll start playing Mother 3 tomorrow.

About how long did it take you to beat it?

60 hours i got to level 97 when i finsihed the game.

Clause is unique and i'm pretty sure himself and Lucas will be the only reps that were from a japan only game..and they may be the only reps for Mother.

there not going to be the only Japan only characters. Takamaru is pretty much confirmed at this point, so we know there will be at least 3; but there are other likely japan only characters too, like Sukapon and Sigurd. I'm expecting 3-5 Japan only characters.

I Wouldn't call takamaru a shoo-in since there is still competition with other japan-only's and whatnot...

5's an overkill ... I Mean unless the roster is bigger then we think...Let's remember that he already cut off stafy and lip has a low chance (Would claus's sword or link's mastersword or marth's sword make sence as an item :/?) And we only have 1 out of 22 Characters so far as japanese only (Well one on the starting roster out of 20, Still...) seeing as how in Melee he had only 2 Out of 25 altogether (26 If you count shiek.)And he doesen't want to many... When you put it together we will be REALLY Lucky if we get four, I'd say Lucas Claus, Takamaru OR Sukapon and MAYBE Someone like Demiru or Sigurd...

Even though the roster will be atleast 40, Sakurai doesn't want to many Japan only characters in brawl and Lucas and Claus are basically the only ones i could see getting in.

Takamaru IS a shoe-in. all the evidence points to him being in, and it's ridiculous to ignore it.

• he's the most wanted and requested Japan only character (three mentions on Sakurai's "poll")
• he's the only katana user Nintendo has that isn't an Assist Trophy (meaning that Sakurai is getting rid of Taka's competition)
• Nazo no Murasame Jo (takamaru's game) is very well remembered by Nintendo; for example, in Pikmin 2, you can find a Famicom Disk, the game on it is Takamaru's game.

seriously. what do you expect him to do? he's not going to say "oh! this character is super popular and wanted, and his moves would be unique and original!... oh wait, I already have 2 Japan only characters in brawl, guess I can't put him in..."; he's going to put in whatever characters he sees fit, and everything so far points to Takamaru getting in. he's more Likely than Claus by a long shot, and Claus is highly likely to begin with...

1.Actually you mean his "Journals" Because the offical poll results haven't released, Actually Fatmanonice has the "Full version" Of it and Claus has four entries while takamaru has three, Then again tak would be a japan-only new franchise, Also note how Sukapon only had one less entry then him.
2.And he might not be planed next for an AT? Not saying that he will but there is possibility.
3.Valid arguement, However sukapon's is also memorable to the attire of Smash (Hence him being from one of the most memorable fighting games or w/e?)

Don't get me wrong, I Would settle for both in but TWO JAPAN RETRO'S Is highly pushing it (I Support both myself.) I Can't say Takamaru is as good as in the clear because there was also sukapon who Got 2 Journal entries still/Ranked 1 On the retro catigory melee polls/WAS GOING TO BE IN MELEE/Ranked well on the brawl polls/Blahblahblah.

And also he said that he wasn't going to "Catter" To the japanese as if you haven't opened your eye sockets and see how he denied sigurd a spot in Smash 64 Just because of that, Also 1/20 So far japan-only?Wut? Again i'm just stating that he is modest about japan-only's and we will probably get around 3-4, 5 If we get lucky.

Now i'm not trying to make this a flame but my point is that takamaru isn't in the clear yet as he still has to face off with sukapon depending on how many japan-only's we get for the spot to contend with, Also like i have said...He's not going to catter to the japanese and add10, It's already pushing it to add 5 Even when thisd is suppose to be more about nintendo's all-s And that he has been REALLY Modest for the past two Smash games about them and he still is, Also like i said with the starting roster thing AND I Should note that Smash Bros is more hyped in america.

But all in all this won't really get us anywere, I Still think Takamaru has a good chance but especially since he's japan-only and whatnot i can't say he's in the clear like Luigi Krystal Or G&W (Not that i would be suprised if he was in.)

Fatmanonice (Who is really smart .) Has said before that it's because so many people clash into the journals that it's hard to find out the actual ones, However Lucas was one of the eight characters mentioned in interviews by sakurai (Other 3 That things happened to are Sonic [Playable] Little Mac [AT] And Lip [Unlikely.) .

It seems really pointless for you to post without prior knowledge of anything, I already said previously what the spoiler warning is for, is not to hide Claus's identity but to avoid people from reading the plot spoilers I have in the first post, plus, is better that people know that we're supporting Masked Man, otherwise they just throw their typical "He'll be a Lucas alt" crap.

But what I honestly don't understand why you can't just call him "Masked Man" in the thread titles and banners, then. You'll have to have played Mother 3 to get the connection, right? Since the plot is part of the first post, the connection could be called out there, where you've already been warned for major spoilers.

So anyhow i think Kid Claus could be an ALT for Lucas; A Ness Alt/Claus kid ALT, His regular self, Three colors (Or two if you have ness as one.) And your good to go with him .

Well you don't really know Claus is the Masked Man till Flint tells you before the Final Battle of the game, so it is a big spoiler.
