wouldnt it be easier if all the online smash threads were in one thread? all you have to do is specify which version you want to play in your post.

That was my ness, and I honestly couldn't help you that much because I don't main him. I think I could give you better advice if I saw it in a 1v1 however.

Like HYP3R said, I have no idea how Ness works aside from that eveyone I've versed that uses him uses his aerials like crazy. Since this is true, I'd say it would be a good idea to use his tilts sometimes as well, even though they probably shouldt be used since apparently they suck compared to his aerial game. For example, when I use Zelda I utilize her grabs, up an side tilts, Nayru's Love, and Farore's Wind—especially this one to mess around; people who I've played know what I'm talking about —to throw people off since they expect constant down smashing and Din's spam. The only thing I noticed was you kept recovering from above by attacking downwards, which was easy to just roll out of the way and then hit you. I also got used to the PK Fire whenever I ended up a short distance away from you. As for how to fix such habits, I'm not really sure since it alway depends on the character. I'd say to play mind games is you're best option, like running towards your opponent, stopping and then dash attacking as something different than short-hopping into aerial mode. Ness flies all over the place so it's easy to fake moves this way.

Ever since the death of Brawl online (which has been revived, I KNOW), I had been playing League. Despite the revival, I still chose League over online Smash. Been playing with Xiroey and Iotoa, fun game, lots of depth, but I've been having issues with it (mainly ping lag) recently and it's gotten frustrating, and now I just feel like quitting it, as much as it pains me to say.

I'm hyped for Smash 4 and want to play it competitively online. I've already watched some high level Greninja gameplay, so I have an idea of how I should play him.

Anyone getting the 3DS version first? :/ I'm looking to come back here to play 3DS version when the 3DS game releases. I hope there'll be plenty of 3DS players, or I'll have to look somewhere else. (Or spam For Glory 1v1)
