Although this soundtrack has much more than our last surprise, Brain Age. There are some real bangers in here. Check out Sunset Bay if you can.

Wave Race 64 does have several great tracks. I really do hope they will add the soundtrack from Wave Race: Blue Storm down the line.

So far, it seems like Nintendo Music is following some kind of pattern. While it's true that at first we only had announced games, namely DKC2, Wii Sport and F-Zero X, from then on we had "smaller" games like Brain Training or Wave Race 64 (which weren't announced) alternating with larger ones (already announced) like Splatoon 2.
With this in mind, and knowing that we are missing three of the announced games (Super Mario 64, Wind Waker and Skyward Sword), the next few weeks should look something like this:
17- Announced game (Maybe Wind Waker?)
24- Non-announced game
31-Announced game (Maybe Super Mario 64)
7-Non Announced game
14-Announced game (Maybe Skayward Sword)

What I find curious is that we should receive an update with future games in early-mid January, and that date fits quite well with the rumors of the announcement of the Switch's successor.

Honestly this is super necessary and dare I say respectable.

Not only did this give us Wii U games, but the clarification is important in a historical standpoint.

I agree it would be super great historically ... if they actually uploaded both soundtracks for the remakes. Having them both there but only one version of the OST is misleading and dumb

That's because there's no difference in soundtrack so far.

There hasn't been the case where there remake had a different soundtrack as of yet.

Maybe it's because of Master Quest? I don't remember if it had any new songs. Also, I think the 3DS version had some extra options and if it had any new songs, that's probably why they haven't included them. Maybe they are also saving all the 3DS stuff for a future update considering so far the updates have been very focused on SNES/N64

Ocarina of time 3d (and Majora’s Mask 3d) had the same soundtrack as the original N64 game, except for the credits song specifically for the 3ds version, which featured a new song.

Unironically I think that is the logic here.

With the Holiday Season arriving, one thing I'd like to see added would be seasonal playlists. For Christmas/Winter Holidays, add a Festive playlist with music from snow levels. For Halloween add a spooky playlist with music from ghost levels. For Spring add a playlist with music from garden levels. For Summer, add a playlist with music from beach/tropical levels. For non Halloween parts of Autumn, say November, add a autumn playlist with music from autumn levels. And for February, add a playlist with music from romantic moments in games.

There's a ripe amount of potential here.

And they just added some Holiday playlists to the app! We have "Snowy Day", "Winter", and "Party" (representing New Years) playlists added.

Presumably we'll have appropriate Spring, Summer, and Autumn playlists as well when those seasons come along.
