Who Is the next link to be in the next smash?

Nintendo is so lazy I don't know if their will be 2 links!

But in-case they do, who will they be, who do you want?

on topic: Maybe by the release of SSB4 I will work for Nintendo and they will have used the Project Zelda Link. But in all seriousnessism, we know he will just be outmatched by another Fire Emblem character.

Aside from cosmetic alterations and the small effects that come with them (Gale Boomerang).

Even if Zelda Wii's Link does not wield a sword, you can bet your money that SSB4 will give him his rightful sword back. It just wouldn't feel like Link anymore.

OR, they could do this:
- Zelda Wii Link (with Master Sword girl)
- Classic Link (a new design that reflects all of Link's incarnations including toon, but not TP/ZWii)

That would be silly. Amazing, but silly.

The next Smash will probably have 2 Links- ST Link, and Zelda Wii Link. ST Link will be a hopefully decloned Link based off of all his Toon Link appearances, especially ST. And the other Link will be the one in the concept art with Miss Master Sword. And yeah, he will be given a sword.

I made this a long time ago. Keep in mind, it was TP-only characters, so not much to choose from. Also, those colored tokens were what were used to select characters, but I didn't want to cover the character slots on the roster, so I placed them down there.

Toon Link =/= Young Link. 2 different Link's. They just sound alike.

Besides, new Links are just reincarnations of old Links. And, by almost every theoretical timeline so far (as well as the official), TL (the one from WW, at least) comes directly after OoT/MM Link.....

Toon Link is a semi-decloned Young Link. For all intents and purposes, Toon Link is Young Link in Brawl. Also, they'll probably never do MM Link with the 3 masks now. If they did that for Melee, it would have been amazing. But, as a rule, they always focus on the most recent versions of the characters. There are already going to be 2 Links anyway. They'll have Zelda Wii Link, of course, and also an updated Toon Link. They will not have three Links. That would be silly. *makes awkward bad pun about how three links make a chain*

But I think WW comes after Twilight. I don't think Twilight's world was underwater.

As far as I think the time line goes is that Wind Waker and everything that involves Toon Link happens after every other Zelda game.

Uh.. so you don't believe in the split timeline? It has been officially stated by Aonuma that WW and TP happen at the same time in parallel timelines. Refer to the Timeline Discussion Thread for further details.
