Haha, I don't claim to be the best, Nicole just likes to talk ****. It's a running joke; I know that I can never be the best Fino :(. That said, we ARE doing dittos at Kahoka!

Oh, and Hilt IS coming, so hopefully we don't all get the same place again (unless it's first!(?)).

You have a really good Olimar, even though the vids are old I'm gonna critique them anyway =P

-You should cut down on the dsmash spam a bit, its good but its ending lag may get you into some annoying situations. Try to mix a falling nair into dsmash/upsmash up into your arsenal and you'll do fine

-Your pikmin use is fine but you might wanna practice using the correct one for certain occasions, purple bthrow is fine but its upthrow is always better

-When you're off the cliff I noticed that sometimes you just let your pikmin fall to their deaths, you might wanna whistle more to get them back in line so that your up special is at its best.

-Another thing I've notice was that sometimes you dodged towards/behind your opponent, never dodge towards/behind them as Olimar. Dodge away not towards

-You may also want to mix in some dthrow combos ;) Like dthrow>SH FF fair>dthrow>another fair/upsmash/fsmash or dthrow>fsmash/upsmash for example.

-You might want to use nair/utilt more because of their high priority and fair as an alternative for your dairs, dair should be used carefully and wisely not casually.

-You shouldn't spam pivot grabs a lot either, there's nothing wrong with using it a lot but when they're spammed they can become predictable.

-One major thing you gotta learn is to DI and Momentum Cancel better, these are essential to living longer. Sometimes you died at ridiculously low percents, which shouldn't happen unless by accident.

I hope that overtime you've gotten better, I'd probably be of more assistance if you had more recent vids >_>

So try to get any recent vid you got up, 'kay?

Nice matches. One thing I noticed was that you sometimes got really predictable when he got to high percents and you were going for the kill. It really got you on match 3 on his second stock. Otherwise, good job.

By the way, did you get a chance to play m2k at that last tourny? I saw that you had said you couldn't finish playing, but were you able to play him in the brackets or any friendlies? How'd you do, if so?

yeah, i kept noticing i was predictable with my kill moves and even though it does let me pressure him into making mistakes when i abuse it after a while i still do get hit to much while killing him i guess...xD


and yeah, i fought m2k for tourney, i saved the replays but they weren't put up:( first match he 2stocked me barely and second match i brought him to last stock 70%

I don't like how Gonta refuses to use NAir, Up Tilt, and Down Tilt to set up for combos. His plucking is also weird because on one side he has mindgames, but on the other side someone can just ignore the bait and kick his *** for it.

He actually uses nair for combos a fair amount of times. Utilt is more of an OOS/gtfo move than a combo move imo, since usmash has a better trajectory for further comboing imo. Dtilt really isn't reliable. I had tried to convince myself that it was good for a while, but I'm accepting that it really isn't. It can be OK against some fast falling characters, but it just puts you in such a bad position, I usually get punished if I try to use it. Not to mention that the characters he is facing in these matches are pretty floaty, and dtilt wouldn't even allow much comboing if it actually did hit.

The pluck cancels actually allow for a better camping game, I think. It's not the kind of mindgame that baits or anything of the sort. It allows for fast pivots that really enrich the pressure and speed of oli's camping game. That's how I feel, at least.

someone commented on one of the videos that the way he plucks really keeps the momentum of the game moving. thats how i feel, when gonta's on a roll he never seems to be out of pikmin or has to pluck a whole bunch at once which i like about his style.

Heh, sorry but Blank went Diddy because I told him to. He came to me asking if he should go Kirby, Falco, or Diddy and I told him that while Diddy has the worst matchup you don't seem to have much Diddy experience and you have a ton of Kirby experience. I like my Olimar mains, but I like my IA buds also, and I'll pretty much give anyone advice unless it's against someone in my own crew.

It's okay... I gave tips to both hilt and zeton on how to beat each other XD

I have been out of the tournament scene for so long @.@ last diddy I played was AZ at the mwcc... like 5 months ago XD ****

imo kirby has the worst match-up... but that's discussion for a different thread :p

the problem with gonta is though he rolls a lot and he doesn't abuse the weaknesses in his opponents play style but instead plays the same way against all his opponents making him way to predictable once you get past his awkward style

You beat a CPU.... congratulations!!! You're so awesome, I can't believe I didn't see it before. You learned to abuse stupid AI like I've never seen before. Granted people usually don't post videos of them playing computers to show off their olimar, so I can't really say I've seen it, but you sure did a good job!!!

If you're going to post videos, lemme make a couple suggestions.
1) Do not make the text with a font so big that one word can't even fit on screen.
2) Put something worth while to watch (i.e. playing people not CPUs)
3) Don't.... nvrm.... start with those two -_-''

You posted your parody in a forum where none of the people seeing it would get the joke. None of us have seen the video that this is a parody of, and thus your video seems like nothing more than spam, whether it is or not. Getting mad about flames and jokes that were bound to happen is both stupid and pointless.

You ever stop to think.... the parody was dumb too? I saw the parody, I saw your vid. I didn't even watch all of them, but I lol'd so hard cause I'm like, why the heck would someone post them beating a computer like it's an accomplishment (and that they're good for doing it)?

And honestly.... it's not a parody... you did the exact same thing, but with a different character. A parody is a humorous or satirical imitation of a serious piece or work. You did not accomplish this. I'm sorry.
