The Mog fans are very one sided, all of their Mog pros can be used for Chocobo too, lol! With the slight distinction that Chocobos have a higher status in the series, thus, they win.

chocobos were pretty mutch nothing but a means of transport.i'd say party members,game savers,shop owners,mechanics,and clan leaders have higher status than a means of transport.

God, why don't you go play some FF games before posting more crap? Montblanc is not Mog and he is the clan leader, chocobo's have been party members in Tactics, have appeared in all games besides the first one and they led their own games (WAY bigger than Mog).
Look, that you spend a little too much time on 4chan checking out furry pics and **** like that doesn't mean any of your points are valid, people own chocobos? So what?
Thats the Key Difference and I came to the **** conclusion in FFT when I had one Chocobo and the I checked my Party and like 8 eggs were there after I travered between towns....

Indeed I am a big fan of the series, I have played through 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12. Here's an argument for you: if Square Enix were to include a character in Smash, they wouldn't go for a once playable character from a FF game, they would go for either the series mascot, that is a chocobo (that's why it's called Chocobo mystery dungeon) or a classic recurring party member like a black mage or warrior. More likely than not, if Square Enix were to include a character it would not come from the FF universe as I believe they said, the series is too diverse and broad to be represented by any one character (though I personally don't agree with that).

if you mean the NPC mog in ff it's not the main mog. there is no main mog. moogles are unimportant characters in FF.
At least a Moogle was a playable character in a main Final Fantasy. Unlike Chocobos, who were summons at best.

how the hell does that disprove my point. one game. mog is nothing but a small species in final fantasy with minor roles in some games. he was a NPC once. get over it. mog will never be on the level of chocobo. choc is the mascot. mog was a 1 time npc. get over it

OK lets think of it this way, since he would be a third party character he should be someone of note yes? Think about it: Sonic, Snake... Mog. He doesn't stand up to the other gaming giants. Simply put there is no reason he should be in.

but,you forget one tiny thing:
(almost)ANY FF character would sell the game!I'm saying if sakurai puts an FF character in brawl,it would make sence for that to be a universal character.moogles and chocobos are obvious choices for FF reps.they both have impresive track records,they both appeal to a wide audiance,and they could combine elements of the entire franchise into a singal character!as for which one gets in...*flips coin*

No, not everyone is a goldmine and certainly Mog isn't one, not even Chocobo is that much of a goldmine, Cloud is a goldmine.

What is up with Cloud?! Cloud wouldn't make a big difference in sales. I'm sorry to break it to you.
If the last star studded Melee roster could only manage 6 millions buys, how much of a difference do you think Cloud is going to make? Maybe a few thousand more? Thats not worth the investment and the headache its going to take to get him.

No, I didn't quote the rest of your post because it's just an extended version of the sentence I quoted genius! The mascot argument has been completely twisted by you in favor of Mog.

Melee=/=Brawl, and Melee didn't even have third parties.
In terms of sales, it won't make the game sell 10 million copies, but it certainly will draw Cloud's large fanbase to the game, because, Cloud's fanbase is larger than Mog's believe it or not.
And you think getting Mog is a walk in the park?
