Olimar has the best defense in the game.What are you guys talking about? Olimar's defense is still top notch. If your opponents are getting past it easily then it's your fault for being so predictable. Of course pivotgrabbing every single time won't work. Mix it up. Use some spaced fsmashes, run canceled shield->grabs (which I should probably make a thread about sometime soon), pivotcanceled fsmashes (which are WAAAAAAY underused), fair->fsmash walls, etc.
With that said, Olimar's best strategy is to space well. As long as you're doing that (while applying pressure with pikmin toss and good stage control), it doesn't matter whether you're playing defensively or offensively. They're both fine.
