Google is your friend. There has been much research done and proof that weed can heal many ailments, moreso when vaped. Why the govt is keeping it illegal and funding the crackdown of it is a subject of debate.

My idea of a stupid person is someone who buys into everything someone else tells them without questions or research.

I'm sorry, but you're dumb. Not dumb in the sense of not knowing something, but dumb in the sense that you assert falsehoods as if they were the truth. Try reading some actual research papers from scientists that have devoted their lives to research. If you have access to J-Stor ou should use it. No negative effects come from THC and it's not habit forming. This has been researched and proven many times over. The only bad thing about smoking weed is the smoke.

It counts as experience, but not research. And a year of personal experience is subject to personal use and/or abuse of something. Research means tests were set up, carried out, and results recorded. Not all research is legitimate though, so it helps to find multiple reliable sources for something.

Just saying weed is bad for you based on your and/or your friends' experiences doesn't mean weed is actually bad. Weed is not for everyone, though, just like any other drug. Everyone's body responds differently to drugs and they should be used by a person who can enjoy them responsibly. Now actual physically addicting drugs are another story imo, but weed is not physically addictive.

When I say research I mean people who have doctorates in life science fields, pharmaceutical researchers, medical doctors, etc. I would trust their scientific conclusions over someone who smoked it for a year.
