Back in Smash 4 days, being a supporter of Ashley was harder; but now I have this new feeling; there's no way she can't be in the game. WarioWare might be a small series but Ashley is a character Nintendo can really profit from. People love cute, just look at her push for the past three years.

With this, my hope has been boosted by it. Revealing Ashley before WarioWare Gold releases would be amazing! Maybe we'll get a Nintendo direct that shows off WarioWare Gold, Wario Land and lastly WarioWare Switched Up; in the end, they lead us to believe we're looking at footage of WarioWare Switch but it actually turns out to be Ashley's reveal.

Yeah, that does bring up a good question. I remember last year we got a mini Fire Emblem direct in July shortly after E3. If the leaks are true and a new WarioWare switch and Wario Land VB are on the way then we could see a mini Wario direct. The 3DS wasn't mentioned in E3 at all so I'd like to imagine Nintendo will give WarioWare Gold another look especially if the game has a story mode.

Otherwise, we don't need a direct to reveal characters. I remember Robin and Lucina's trailer came out of the blue. They might just do that with Ashley maybe a week or so before WarioWare Gold is released.

It's Hard to Argue with this, especially the final reveal being a big third party name like Simon, it just makes a lot of sense. One reveal a month for the next 5 months sounds about right, maybe with an echo popping up here or there.
If Ashley is in I agree, she will be the next character reveal with Gold coming up soon and all. Someone like K.Rool would be too simalar to Ridley to announce so soon, so if he's in he'll likely be a couple down the line.

If there wasn't a new WarioWare I'd be pretty wobbly on Ashley's chances, now I'm sure she has a solid 70% or higher. They still need to please the Japanese crowd, after they didn't care too much about Ridley, Ashley would get them hyped next for the game.

The Gamer stage has yet to return. I wonder why they didn't show it. I guess it's hard to position characters when being chased by 5-Volt. Even if the stage is revealed it would make Ashley seem even more likely.

Gotta go with Ashley and Geno on this, K.Rool is a close third, but if he was an assist we could still get Dixie and he could still show up in a later game. This would be like Geno's only chance. haha.

I'm getting myself set up for disappointment I'm sure but I'm super with you, 70 percent or higher from me too. It's Ashley's time! She'll beat everyone up in Smash and still do all her homework.

To my knowledge stage hazards can only be turned off if it is 1v1. If they wanted to get a third character in the pic that might cause problems.

WarioWare Representation prediction

- Playable Wario and Ashley.
- WarioWare Stage, Gamer and perhaps Dimond City. Throw in the rest of the cast in the background, maybe the stage hazard can be Mona on her moped, something crazy, something WarioWare.
- Kat and Ana, Young Cricket and 9-volt as assists.
- Many songs, including a new upbeat-ish Ashley's song.

I could also imagine Ashley having two voices, one for Japan and the other for America because seemingly Ashley has two different personalities going by her song differences in the west and Japan. In the actual games, Ashley is still pretty quick to anger though.

Ashley could have 8 different alts from the badge Arcade.

This would be really great for her character, but if they choose just to color her original outfit various colors, as in nods to other Ware characters I wouldn't mind either.

I haven't seen any leaks with Ashley in them the only one I've heard is the somewhat credible one with Ridley and Simon Belmont. Where are people posting these Ashley leaks?

I definitely think Ashley has a chance of being in smash this time around.
I'm rooting for more of an underdogs, for kat and ana,.. but I like Ashley too :D

Because a lot of those fans have been rioting I've heard, but us Ashley fans would never threaten a man like that, the only thing I felt back in Smash 4 was sadness but I never went out of my way to blame anybody.

Same here, hell, I bought it three times technically. I bought it on the Wii u and 3ds, then formatted my 3ds for other reasons but I bought it again just because I adore Ashley.

I've bought all the badges, 3ds themes on both my 3ds's just to show support for the character. I'll buy even more Ashley stuff if I could.

I doesn't help we you have a major news outlet like the Washington Post writing articles about Waluigi's exclusion and throwing fuel on the fire. If Ashley is excluded from Smash I doubt Ashley will get much of a backlash in the West. Japan on the other hand, I don't know what they'll do.

I've argued a good bit over Ashley. The speculators in the West just don't seem to be able to wrap their minds around the idea that she's a viable contender. If Ashley was Deconfirmed I'd be eating a lot of my words. I'd probably lay low for a while and wait for my shame to pass...

Being a viable contender doesn't mean they will get in, just that they can. IMO, I think she has the best chance out of the WarioWare characters. Also, can I be added to the support list? I really want her in~

Here's a fun question:

How long have you guys liked Ashley for? My story goes back as far as ten years old (I'm Nineteen now), it was one of those days I felt like tracing a drawing so I hopped on Google and looked for Mario Characters, there on the image results I found fanart for Ashley. I don't know what it was, but I found her design so appealing. She stuck out to me, it was hard to believe this was a Wario character;

I just had to trace this girl, so I saved the image and titled it "A girl from a Wario game.", since then I've been a huge supporter of Ashley, listening to her songs, drawing her and talking about her. Just a few short years later I found myself a big supporter for Ashley to become playable in Smash 4, though we all know how that turned out. Back then, her being deconfirmed sent me into a huge depression for nearly a year.

I'm hoping she's playable now, I have this feeling in my heart she will be, I didn't even have this sort of feeling for Smash 4, but this time around it has to be true. I'm prepared if she isn't, but something deep inside is telling me she'll be playable. Everything just adds up like a puzzle, now with this Robin image my confidence has only grown.

It is hard for me to recall. I think the earliest time I really got exposed to anything about her was when I heard her song back when I started to play Brawl around 2008-2009. I liked the sort of song it was, so it was often the song that came on whenever I played the Warioware stage. Her assist in 4 didn't really hit me that hard since I was not a major supporter of her back then(Or anyone really), I just thought it was cool to see another Warioware character in 3D. I am mainly supporting her now due to her good chances, me growing to appreciate what she can offer to the smash cast in design and move set(We need more magic characters), and just wanting to see her fans be happy after all there support of her.

I didn't even consider Ashley an option until we saw her AT back during 4's development. I think the first two ATs they showed were Skull Kid and Ashley which I would have preferred a lot to WiiFit and Rosalina, who were newly revealed at the time.

Same, the only WarioWare game I played was Smooth Moves and I loved it a lot. I knew Ashley was a long shot in pre-brawl, and I thought that they would pick Mona over her. Come SSB4 with an Assist Trophy and Mii Outfit I have received newfound hope that Ashley would become playable in a future game, and hopefully that game is this game.

That is likely the reason why she's way more popular than her other cast members like Mona, 9-volt, etc. Funny, just before Smash Bros 4 9-volt was the popular one in the west, but these days Ashley wins by a landslide in both overseas and the west.

I'd probably go as far as to say she's even more well known than her home series.
