Could this be that sequel to WW they were going to be working on before TP?
To answer your question; yes!
Where to begin:
This all starts after the Windwaker is over where Link and Tetra set sail to find new lands. Several months into the ocean and Link's boats is suddenly surrounded by a huge storm and Link falls into the ocean (LA deja vu). Upon being helped to consciousness by a fairy, Link finds himself in an unfamiliar land.
This game takes a completely different take from other Zelda games. Instead of moving the control pad to control Link, you use the stylus. "My main objective was to develop a Zelda game controlled only with the stylus. The sense of wonder and surprise will satisfy existing Zelda players along with newcomers", says Producer Eiji Aonuma. The fairy will follow link acting as his guide much like the hat in The Minish Cap. You can perform rolling techniques with the simple touch of the stylus. Thus, quickly drawing a circle around Link makes him perform the famous spin attack. Like always, weapons will guide Link along with touch-style enhancements. Ex: Control Link's boomerang using the stylus drawing a path. You must rescue multiple fairies to advance to other areas. "Phantom Hourglass has something to do with the time maneuvers similar to Majora's Mask," hinted Eiji.
Enemies have also undergone a drastic change like the octorocks. Some enemies have new abilities too. All boss battles use both screens of the DS. GANONDORF WILL NOT APPEAR IN THIS GAME!!! His evil has spread to other creatures creating no meaning for his appearance. Once again, ocean exploration is back like in Windwaker; But not by King Of Red Lions.
THE GAME WILL FEATURE ONE MAIN DUNGEON WHICH CAN ONLY BE BEAT WHEN YOU BEAT ALL THE SMALLER DUNGEONS unlike most Zelda games. Dungeons will now feature the evil CHASERS. These creatures pace around the dungeon looking for Link. If you get touched you will immediately die regardless of what you were doing or how many hearts you had left. Invulnerable to Link's attacks, avoid them at all costs. Sanctuary zones are filled within the Dungeon, however; where chasers cannot travel to; like a safe haven.
Chasers are also featured in two-player battle mode. Capture-The-Flag and Hide-and Seek: confused: are just some of the few games. One player controls link with an overhead view of the whole map, while the other player controls the chasers to try to get Link. It's up to Link to get the force gems and bring them to his base. The chaser controller however can only see one space at a time (much like transferring screens in handheld Zelda games).
While many of Hourglasses’ secrets are not yet revealed, I think Zelda games have taught us something. That is, the payoff is always worth the wait.
