Ok again like I said... <.<
This is like a attempt to start this off so I had to get some Luigi mainers to help me get this started.
I don't really like the video idea because someone could just end up showing us a vid of somoen not even moving... or they just don't have th money/ equipment for a video....
You see if we get the top scorers from the ladder and they aren't active as the ones that actually want to join... well then this clan will die like the previous ones did.
I still have open spots for mods.
Besides excellence, I seek dedicated for mods <.<
A video of someone not even moving? Then you quite simply say "this doesn't prove your ability with the character." That's why you set guidelines.
Wouldn't the top scorers of the ladder indicate that they are pretty active to have gone on the boards to request matches? I put more faith into them than others who just say they'll volunteer to be a mod.
If you don't have a camcorder or any shape or form...then you'll have to just play online. I'm just suggesting the video as an alternative to those with terrible wifi connections because Ninty did a terrible job or setting the online up.
I'm just putting forth this stuff in encouragement of making a clan that won't die off quickly, if you set up this stuff early on, there is a greater chance for success.
We will decide who gets modded once we have more people in the clan. I do like your idea of a video resume but the plus system that we are using now is temporary. Alias, you don't have to be as good as hippie to join. Heck, you don't actually need to win the brawls to get a plus.
Membership comes from practicality of application. I put forth the idea of top scorers because its clear to everyone that they have a good idea about Luigi to place so high. I'm not saying those who don't rank don't know how to use Luigi, I just think its categorical evidence of one's prowess if you see their ranking on our online ladder. The video idea is just so people aren't turned off by having to play online to show themselves, since I know that is the case with many.
If they can't go online and they can't record a friendly or tourney game of some sort, then that's fine. LuigiKing is offering to post videos online if you send him replays, so that's an option. You can personally send the replay to the mods to be evaluated, etc. I'm just putting out ideas, because I encourage projects if they are seen through to the end.
