well, the 1-2-3 gentlemen with dice's method has a more wider variety speed-wise than the ol' 1-2-wait-3 gentlemen isnt it?

Actually I'm good at doing gentlemens. But I have to time it right. These "guaranteed" methods are bogus. Make a video of your method working with arbitrary timings and I'll believe you.
How is it bogus? Mine and dice's guaranteed tequniques both got a second opinion which says it works, so it probaly means your doing it wrong.

For mine keep holding the direction you chose ( Works with all directions ) with A until you see he is done doing the gentleman. As in standing back in his regular position.

For dice's... idk.

They sound bogus because the mechanism for them working is completely random. AA forward smash opposite? Why in the world would this arbitrary move give a gentleman? You may have found something that works, and you may think you're describing it accurately--I'm just saying what you are doing and what you are describing are not the same thing.

Even if I'm bad (which you don't know), how could I be "doing it wrong"? It sounds simple enough. What part am I incapable of performing? Hit A twice or the forward smash? A total scrub could do this.

The other method sounds a little more credible-- A A Z + A, but I think in reality the timing you're describing is just the AA A + Z method and like someone else said you aren't familiar with the delay on pressing Z.

Someone with AR needs to figure out EXACTLY what is happening for the gentleman. It shouldn't be that hard.

Edit: Okay I got Dice's method to work. I think the description was just inadequate. Probably easier to convey in person. Anyway, my apologies.

I thought you were doing the hold it until your done part wrong because I did not say that in my first description.

I experimented with some different techniques and the only two that were consistent for me were just doing AA (pause) A (hold for a second), which can be done at any time, and AAA at any speed (and holding the last A). For the second technique to work though, all the hits have to land. You don't have to hold a direction or do anything with Z.
