I've been meaning to say this for a while but I really respect the Dillon fanbase. When he was confirmed for as an AT, there wasn't really much of an outrage upon the fanbase's loss and were rather humble regarding his disconfirmation.

I agree. I think it was mainly because Dillon was even acknowledged, especially in such a major role (AT status is the most prominent role he could have other than playable), so they were probably happy that he was included at all (having an amazing model probably helped as well).

A trophy was found in Smash Run. Considering playable character trophies are only in Classic Mode, this pretty much damns Cranky Kong.

I think there's a key difference here, though. That wasn't Toon's iconic appearance. In other words, it'd be odd to have that as his only trophy. With Cranky, there's really only one way he can appear.Remember this a few weeks before Brawl came out=???

Of course, the implications were a little different... the character had to be unlocked first, right? (It's been a while since I played Melee Classic)
It could go either way, but I'm leaning towards no Cranky.

Well, seems like Nabbit from The New Super Mario Bros U has been deconfirmed. Well, to be honest, I think he would have been an unlikely choice to begin with. I think he is a stage hazard now from the looks of it, according to the POTD.
