After watching the videos many times ive come to the conclusion that the game isnt thats much more floaty that melee. You have to remeber these people playing are playing in a very basic way. If you watch ealry videos of melee it looks the same way, people jumping around basicly following what the computer does and figuring out what the hell theyre doing. Pretty much no advance tactics are being impleted which would drasticly speed up the game and reduce the floatyness. Now im not saying that the games isnt more floaty because it is (especially in characters like fox) but people are exadurating it way to much

also people have been worrying about characters seemingly taking a lot more knockback; they need to remember DI

The overall floatyness has definitely increased. Now, exactly by how much is the question.

I think you're right. I've come to the same conclusion actually. Especially watching some of the faster characters... heck, even Link looks like he's nearly the same speed as his Melee self... well, some aspects anyway.

I think people were exaggerating it partly because, 1. yes, in the trailers and recent gameplay videos, people are just playing slow and crappy, and 2. they might have just recently reached that point in development where the game is balanced and working, so they let loose the full speed of the game. You have to admit, that if they showed the early trailers at full speed, a lot of people wouldn't know what the heck was going on, and it would just look confusing, and completely random. Well, this is mainly just speculation on observations I've made... I can't REALLY be positive about everything.

watching the sonic video posted on the dojo, there's a clip with sonic, kirby, mario, and someone else on snake's stage. mario looks like he has jigglypuff aerial mobility in it
