I know Lucario can be somewhat inconsistent due to his very design. But my people were expecting better of Tsu and Lucario in general after his amazing Frostbite performance

Wow, Ranai just destroyed Salem. I think it's safe to say Ranai doesn't have a Bayonetta problem.

Esam 3-1 Cashmere

Cashmere played well. Every game was close except for game 3.

Salem is currently 2-0 over Kome:4shulk: using :4samus: That's right..

EDIT: Salem 3-0 :4samus:Kome :4shulk:

So... is Salem going to keep using Samus anymore in this tourney now or was it a one time thing?

Anybody know why Mr. E went :4lucina: against Myran? I thought he never even looked in her direction to begin with?
For all I know he plays her at locals from time to time.
No idea of this specific matchup though.

edit: why is Mr E vs Cashmere played offstream? I wanted to see that. :(

SuperGirlKels :4sonic: 3-2 Fatality :4falcon:

That was so intense. Definitely one of my favourite sets of the tournament.

Also, SGK places in the top 16 at an american Major for the first time since Shine.

Lastly, Dath beats Nicko in the runback, 3-2.

Hence why I think that SGK is currently the most successful female Smasher in Smash 4. And I think that either Darkwolf or Nicko is the best :4shulk: right now.

Dyr is getting incredibly strong. He has minor lapses of choosing a really risky option that doesn't work, but his play is getting crazy solid. Like, I feel like he'll be a top player soon enough.

Cashmere:4falcon: 3-2 Mr. E:4marth:

Cashmere has now outplaced Fatality. This is the first time another falcon has outplaced fatality since tipped off 11 (Acid got 7th and he got 13th).

Who is Cashmere? I don't think I've heard of him before.
Best Falcon in Florida from Tampa. He's been training under Tony(Exdeath), 3freshlade(RedHalberd), and Manny since the game came out, but he's been under the radar for the most part due to being so young and can't always go to tourneys.

Salem ends Earth with the Mr. R combo.

3-1 Salem, and the only reason Earth got a game at all was Salem went Samus game 1, which ended up being last stock last hit.

Dath 3- 1 SuperGirlKels

SGK ties her best placing at a major, at 13th. She's been looking solid since she got picked up by BOT.

So it's going to be ESAM vs Salem for top 8 Losers...

Salem really does have some terrible bracket luck sometimes doesnt he? Wonder if hean overcome one of the leading SDI experts in this game. Hey maybe they will both pull out their :4samus:that would be neat.

Also Capt.Zack :4bayonetta: 3-1 Dath :4robinm: to get into top 8

Games 2 and 3 were pretty close. Great showing from Cashmere, and it looks like Japan is really showing up now.

Salem :4bayonetta::4lucina: 3-2 Esam :4pikachu: with the reverse 3-0 .

Jeebus that was some seriously uncanny levels of adaptation from Salem to overcome Esam's top-tier SDI

Note: Salem only used Lucina in game 2 and lost.

But now..Salem has to face his personal demon Dabuz in top 8. Man they are not making this easy for the guy are they?

Zack can beat basically anyone except zero. Zero mentally owns him.
Yeah.

It's funny - Salem's playstyle is more suited to fight Zero, while Zack's playstyle is more suited to fight Dabuz. But neither can fight the way the other does, and so end up getting bodied by their demon once they come into contact. And, fittingly enough, Zack gets dominated by ZeRo while Salem is probably about to get eliminated by Dabuz again for 7th. It's super unfortunate to see lol

Yea Bayo mains end up with pretty bad bracket luck most majors don't they?.

Well here's hoping this time Salem will take a page out of Zack's book and just go on the full offensive vs Dabuz . He did a great job adapting midset vs Esam to get that reverse 3-0 . Im a match I sure many people though Esam would end up winning. Who knows? Maybe he can pull it off again

Also ZeRo's a demon to all but the very best players around anyway lol.

I'm almost positive that Dabuz just sees Salem as a free win in bracket at this point

I swear, if Salem and Zack could somehow DBZ fusion dance or something to combine their Bayo playstyles to a single player. They could take on literally anybody and win majors for sure.

Since no one has mentioned it: Good Lord, ZeRo dominated Leo, completely. Man is bringing us back to 2015. People gonna have to start practicing again, because it's looking like ZeRo and Nairo are #1 and #2 again.

...Well, I guess ZeRo has always been #1. You know what I mean.

Komo 3-1 Zack

Definitely the most satisfying win. I love Zack but Komo was treated so awfully after the ".9" fiasco. I could tell he wanted this win badly, and he deserved it.

It was an amazing set

3-1 but all of them were close

Mega happy for Komo, must have helped him get a bit of closure

And apparently they made up and befriended each other way before FPS2 but it was important for them to go head to head in a completely clean set regardless imo

EDIT:

He said he feels liberated in the truest sense

Aaaaaahhhh this resolution has made my day
