I've went to a cyber cafe for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was a cool experience. I walk in only to see the owner, his wife, and regulars playing First-person shooters online. This piqued my interest. I was only walking by to look for job opportunities only to find a huge green sign saying "Xspot Gaming".
The owner was cool. He welcomed me to watch them play and told me a bit about the place. I thought to myself "Yeah, this is my new joint".
Cyber cafes are awesome. It has been almost a year since I even glanced at a Wii, and when I found that I can play games like Brawl, Street Fighter IV, and Soul Calibur 4 on wifi, I was excited. I could finally play my friends again without the hassle of buying a Wii along with a decent access point. But then it came to the bloody prices...
I've never been to a cyber cafe to even know what is cheap and what is a ripoff. I understand business is business, but even I knew the prices were a bit unreasonable. So I've decided to only play once a week, which is basically 6 hours in 7 days. It isn't much time, but it is better than not having any fun at all.
That is what I have been doing. The owner, Christopher, put down a lounging chair in front of a plasma screen TV, plugged in the Wii, and let me play. I felt like royalty, just up until the timer ran out. lol.
