I've put in about 5 different ballots for 'ol Chibo, and from different computers so it doesn't look like the same person over and over again.

The battery gimmick sounds awesome, I need this, like, right nowI made a moveset for him >3>
Special Mechanic
Chibi-Robo runs off of a battery, hence the power cord he drags. The more energy he has, the more faster and stronger his attacks will be. However, smash attacks and his specials will drain his battery quicker. His battery meter will appear above his damage meter.
Ground
Neutral Attack: Chibi will slap his foes with his claws and head in a three hit combo.
Side Attack: Chibi dives forward, hitting any foe, followed by Telly flying forward, pushing foes backward.
Side Smash Attack: Chibi charges up his water squirter then releases it, pushing foes backward. The longer the charge, the longer the pushing effect lasts.
Up Attack: Chibi reaches upward toward a happy point.
Up Smash Attack: Chibi will charge his Chibi-copter propeller to attack. Can hit multiple times, with the last hit being weaker but having more launch. Enemies above Chibi-Robo will float upward.
Down Attack: Chibi peels a sticker from the ground.
Down Smash Attack: Chibi will scrub the area in front of him with his toothbrush a number of times, each time damaging any foe caught in it. The number of times he scrubs is based on how long the charge was held.
Air
Air Neutral Attack: Chibi will flail in the air.
Air Forward Attack: Chibi will lunge forward with his spoon and will launch foes behind Chibi upon contact.
Air Backward Attack: Telly will lounge, taking Chibi with him.
Air Up Attack: Chibi will reach upward towards a Happy Point.
Air Down Attack: Chibi will use his vaccum cleaner. The vacuum draws nearby foes bellow Chibi closer.
Specials
Neutral
Plug In: Default. When first used, Chibi will grab his power cord. He then can either do one of two things, throw it like a projectile item or use Plug In a second time, to plug himself into the ground. While holding the plug, Chibi will run faster. While plugged into the ground, Chibi will recharge his battery and will be tethered to that spot until he removes his plug or if hit with enough force. Additionally, when used in the air, it will act as a meteor smash.
Plug Dash: Custom 1. Telly pick up Chibi's powercord and drag him in a horizontal line, damaging any foe in the way. The powercord will stick to any non-damaging vertical surface (walls, edges, etc) and will act as a tether/wallstick.
Outlet: Custom 2. Chibi will summon an electrical outlet and plug himself into it. After a few seconds it will dissapear. When used in the air, the outlit will float, acting as a platform that can be used by any of the fighters.
Side
Chibi-Blaster: Default. Chibi shoots small balls of energy forward. Chibi can charge this attack for stronger results and can move while firing/charging. The charge can only be held while the B button is held down but this move cannot be canceled/stored with shielding/dodging. Chibi can charge even when hit.
Chibi-Radar: Custom 1. Chibi will use his radar, locating several hidden trash through out the area. This trash can be used as a projectile weapon by any fighter but they do less damage to the Chibi-Robo that summoned them.
Photo Finder: Custom 2. Chibi will use the Photo Finder to place a random piece of NostalJunk in front of him. NostalJunk will absorb attacks that it them until they are destroyed or fade away. Only one piece of NostalJunk can be out at a time, with the move failing if there is already an existing piece.
Up Special
Chibi-copter: Default. Chibi opens his head to reveal the Chibi-copter, lifting him up and allowing him to float/hover in the air for a few seconds. Any enemy that hits the propeller on the top of Chibi's head will be damaged.
Ladder Utility Bot: Custom 1. Chibi will launch a ladder from his head and quickly climb up it, gaining more height. This can be used in the air and the latter will damage any foe it falls on.
Paper Airplane: Custom 2. Chibi will pull out a large paper airplane and ride it in a horizontal arc. Enemies that get hit by the front of the plane will be damaged.
Down Special
Boom Box: Default. Chibi will fire up his Boom Box, send a pulse out around him, launching foes backward and lightly damaged. This can be charged to increase the strength of the launch. Chibi cannot move while using this move.
Dance Time: Custom 1. Chibi will use his boom box to summon dancing, white flowers. The flowers will damage any foe that gets near them but will not cause them to flinch. The flower will continue to dance as long as Chibi holds this ability.
Chibi-Tots: Custom 2. Chibi will launch Chibi-Tots forward in an arc. When a Chibi-Tot hits a foe, it will latch on it them, continuously damaging them for a few seconds, and fall off. Chibi can charge this for more Chibi-Tots and farther launch.
Final Smash
Summon Giga-Robo: Chibi will summon his predecessor, Giga-Robo to the field and plug himself into it. While plugged into Giga-Robo, Chibi will have unlimited battery power and Giga will copy every move he does. At the end of the smash, Giga will wave good bye to his friend and rocket off, damaging any foes caught in the after burn.
But it's in the Smash 4 Character Discussion thread, so it's still very visible to the character thread-goers.A friend of mine came over this weekend. After we got bored of smash after a while, we decided to boot up Chibi Robo, which is my favorite game of all time next to cave story.
While playing, we couldn't help but think Chibi would be an awesome character for smash. There's a ridiculous amount of possibilities for his moveset. It could go so many ways!
Anyways.
I think Chibi has a bigger chance of getting in than any indie game character ever will, even though the Chibi Robo series has sold less than 1 million units as a whole. (Photo finder might have made the Chibi series hit the 1 mil mark) Quote is more recognizable than Chibi, I'm pretty sure.
Also, if there isn't one already, shouldn't we have a thread campaigning for people to vote for Chibi in the ballot? This thread is from like 2012, it isn't exactly fresh by any means.
Wasn't a new Rhythm Heaven confirmed a while back?just saw the direct. and the only things that interested me was Yoshi's Wooly world, Chibi-Robo, and the announcement of a new Rhythm Heaven (maybe? they only showed a logo that looked like it was rhythm heaven, but i don't know.)
that Amiibo is something i need in my life...
Hopefully it is.Is this a retail game, I'm just wondering.
yeah it was its out soon in japanWasn't a new Rhythm Heaven confirmed a while back?
Oh cool, never played it, I might give it a shot if it releases worldwideyeah it was its out soon in japan
I want to go to GameStop and buy Style Savvy. Then everyone will look at me strange and I'll be like "Its for me."Nintendo, PLEASE bring this game to the West along with Style Savvy 3! I need more pint sized helper robots in my life and Smash Flash 2 isn't good enough at the moment.
Well I've been supporting Chibi Robo for a while (he was even on my first SSB4 Roster). I just haven't been on this thread. All these people who show up when a new game gets announced. Hahaha. Support pouring in is always nice, though!
That's what I thought. Change the style, keep the character. They could've made an entirely different IP for a side scroller, but they chose to stick to an existing one who has never been in a game even similar to this. They're clearly trying to reach new people.I'm wondering if they are making this game to try and make Chibi Robo appeal to a wider audience. The series has not been very successful. Even this support thread is very small. I'm wondering if the move to a side scrolling game and an amiibo are trying to move the series in a new direction to try and make it more successful.
I hope they have the normal Chibi Robo style of games for home consoles while testing different genres with portable systems, which they seem to be doing. That's what I thought. I'm hoping they utilize other Chibi tools and not just the plug. It could be a great new platformer.
Too bad we haven't seen a home console game since the original game. That's probably why it was the best one in the series. It's a shame they probably can't afford to make home console games, much like Intelligent Systems and Fire Emblem. The return is not worth the effort put forth.I hope they have the normal Chibi Robo style of games for home consoles while testing different genres with portable systems, which they seem to be doing.
