There are 4 types of controllers in ssbb.
1.GAMECUBE CONTROLLER
2.CLASSIC CONTROLLER
3.WII REMOTE WITH NUMCHUK
4.WII REMOTE(turned on its side)

Which do u think is the best?

Imo gamecube controller is the best.

I think Sakurai said that we should stick with the Gamecube controller. I'll try the wii mote (with and without Nunchuck) too, but just to know how it works and to test it.

My analysis...

Wiimote by itself -- not enough buttons, some techs are nigh impossible with just a d-pad, generally bad for competitive play. The other 3 show promise, especially the GC controller, but the wiimote-nunchuk looks especially interesting. If the shake-smash is well implemented, I can see some people playing with it in tournies.

I said it before and I'll say it again:

Real men use the Wii Zapper.

Salty men use the Nyko Perfect Shot.

vote for wii remote+nunchuk
button number reasonable (but still not enough!)
trying a new touch would be nice, and it should be more convenient if you can store settings and miis and etc.

Wavebird, although I will test classic controller and wii mote+nunchuk.

I guess Wii mote controller won't work for competitive players.

Heh, I love these threads. Everyone always says GC.

Because, DUH, the thing seems like it was made for Smash! The Wiimote on its side will be shocking, Nunchuk may work well, and Classic could be fine, but with 90% of Smashers so used to such a perfect Smash controller, I can't see many people changing.

Then again, who knows.

Gamecube controller.

I've gotten so used to the nunchuch and wii that it now feels more comfortable to me. So i'' be going with that. I used the Wiimote on it's side and hated it, the classic controller is ok but would still rank 3. If the Nunchuck doens't work out I'll go with the GCN controller. But I'd probably have to buy a new one so...

i bet someone else has mentioned this before but I'm really curious on how tournaments will setup controllers for brawl (assuming there will be tournaments). It would be a very arduous process to sync various controllers if someone wanted to use their own and it could lead to a bit of confusion/problems. Would the majority of the competitive smash scene use one controller therefore making one of the controllers a standard for competitive play?

Whatever works best for me, I guess. I never owned a Gamecube, although I spent hundreds of hours at a nearby friend's house playing it. I've gotten pretty good at it, but I've gotten used to playing the original Smash more. I'll probably use the Wiimote and Nunchuk, but I'll try out the others too.
