Has Sakurai posted anything Kaeru-no-Tame-ni related on Twitter, I read that one guy on 4chan that he posted one about the game.

I've checked his whole twitter before and still do periodically here and there to see if there is anything interesting

The only thing related was a long while ago saying he was interested in either rebooting Nazo No Muramase Jo or Kaeru No Tame Ni; like he did with Kid Icarus. He hasn't however talked about them being in smash at all. That's basically it.

Who knows, Kamiya probably called dibs on a new reboot for Takamaru after he is done with his current title on the Xbox One. I doubt calling dibs on franchise reboots is directly relevant to smash inclusion; but hey, who knows.

I was personally hoping Tanabe or Koizumi would reboot it considering they have a far better history and track record. Having a game like that revived on the WiiU, with beautiful visuals and art a la Miyazaki stylized movies (along with exploration and combat) sounds great to me personally.

Then again, the console isn't doing as well in Japan as the 3DS is so I could be wrong for wanting a reboot on the WiiU

Is that so, I'll keep your word on it, for now, Nazo no Muramase Jou has already been squashed to AT status, so this might be the franchise Sakurai wants to revive, then again you could be wrong.

I never knew Sakurai was interested in doing a Kaeru no Tame Ni reboot. That gives me hope of some kind of smash representation, whether that be as a AT or character. A reboot would be so amazing though, I really hope it happens one day.

I was just about to edit. Just realized it was the Tomodachi stage. The room he's standing in is very regal, and Tame ni Kane wa Naru is a handheld game, so I assumed it was his stage.

My condolences, @ BluePikmin11 and the rest of ya. It never feels nice when a character you're passionate about is disconfirmed. Though, if I must be honest, the assist trophy is more representation than I really expected for him. But try to stay positive. You never know what the future may hold between now and Smash 5. A lot can change in 5-6 years.
