LoL Tiep what are you doing at EA?

I'm able to go to work at EA downtown after I finish my Animation classes. I have lots of connections down there. So if your still there when I'm done I'll probably be seeing you more.

[EDIT] Wow..... I just got my 3rd call back from EB games.... Just finished the 2nd interview a few days ago... I wonder if this means I'm hired...

You got hired at EA Tiep? What's your job? I heard job conditions were horrible at EA and stuff, but maybe EA Canada is different. After all, EA just settled with its workers. They have to pay overtime and stuff now =P

John. Which EB was it? I handed my Resume in last weekend and the lady said they weren't hiring yet but might be next month. It was the Metrotown location. She seemed impressed by it, but she wasn't the manager so it means squat.

Rushan don't trust the EB at metrotown.
The girl I think that you talked to is 19... unless its the other girl with blonde hair. If it was the one with blonde hair she is the assistant manager and she always say that they are hiring. They did that to me last time she was impressed on my resume also because I worked at Orange Julius and worked alone on my shifts. She even told me to try and convince her to sell some stupid Deer Hunting game like practice how I would acually try to sell a game to a customer.

I applied at the OakRidge one because I knew that people were quitting. You should apply there as well. Theres someone that quitting at the end of the month and they will be searching for someone.

Nah. It was some lady who looked a bit older than 19... I've seen her at the store a lot. She just seemed surprised I'd actually written a cover letter, put their logo, included my availability and stuff. I'll try Oakridge too, although I'd like Metrotown best. Good location and it doesn't seem so lonely for shifts. Metro usually has like 3 people there at least, Oakridge is solo a lot of the times.

Yea that 19 year old girl seems older... If she is kinda tall/skinny with long brownish/red hair then I know her. Other then that it could be someone new...

If I dont get this job at EB i'm gonna be sad... Been 4 months since I was last employed. I also rarely go to the mall to acually give out resumes so its hard for me to find a job right now.

Question (tournament question) - If somebody does not choose to pick a counter stage, are they allowed to just pick a character of their choice after the winner decides to change character? I think I heard this once and I just want to clarify.

Ex. Player A and Player B. A wins, so B could counter with stage to start, but chooses not to. Now it is A's choice whether or not to pick a character and then it would be B's choice to counter character as they did not pick a stage. Thanks for the feedback on this.

Tournament question, nobody knows? I would really like to know.

BTW- John, that sucks that others had to complain lol, well hopefully I will see you at AE.

I think they will be a tournament in early July for SoCal but i'm not sure.

I might not be going to AE this year. Im still deciding if I should go or not. The my friend that I always go with is going out with someone that hates me for something that happened between us a long time ago, like a grudge so I might not go. None of our friends like him either so... its all about time... if they break up before then i'll go.
Also the previous 2 AE has been getting more boring because they have less and less events to do. Only thing that really brought me back last year was to sell stuff and go to dealers room.

Wow, never in any thread have I seen such off topic discussion going on... o_O

Anyways, we should host a big tournament at Eric's place for when Ken, Mana, and all those people come up to BC in early July. Hopefully we could get Mike and his crew from Edmonton to attend as well...

Convince Mike and Jarrod and the rest of Edmonton to come. If Mike and Jarrod comes then SoCal will definately come up to BC. As of right now it seems BC is a maybe because Seattle has priority over us unless Mike and Jarrod show up!

We need Mike also if we plan on doing the WC USA vs WC Canada.

The team of Ryan+John is unstoppable! Don't think thats how you imagined our 2v2 rematch would go Adam. I don't think you guys noticed our little switch in the first match. I was Fox and Ryan was Peach! Eric saying to Ryan... "No shining!" heh. The 2nd round we switched... I was Peach he was Fox!
Adam left his guests! He acually left us!

Also it seems that Nick quit so there might be an opening for top 10 for those interested in it

Mid June for a Local tourney and Early July for SoCal sounds good to me. Mid June as in after school is over because if its early June then I definately can't make it. I have final exams and crap like that.

June 10th and June 24th are good for me but June 17th is definately not a good day for me.

Also Roby setting up a tourney in 1 week is the worst. It never goes well and there will usually be a small amount of people that show up.

No one ever talks to you on msn because you never show up to smashfests. You say you were going to Adams but you don't. So theres really no point talking if you don't show up! Even Edmund has shown up to more smashfests then you and he doesnt even post on these boards much anymore.

yeah 24th sounds good. either that or the 17th but definitely not on the 10th. that's smack in the middle of my exams and I wouldn't be able to go to that.

LoL Ryan when you do your Provincials and Final Exams lets see you call them "a normal test" this is far more then just a normal test! Your whole grade 12 english course is pretty much preparing for this "normal test" Its worth soooo much! Like 40% of my final mark!

My final English exam is on the 23rd so the 24th should be okay for me.

If Ryan fails his english provincials because he thinks its just a "normal test" im going to laugh!

ryan, it's not really me caring about that it's during exams. it's because my mom's a typical asian parent and wouldn't let me go.
