alright guys, if we're gonna play the "x was sandbagging, you still suck" game, then you must know this one rule:

1. Regardless of the amount of sandbagging, in a tournament match, there are NO JOHNS! If there are no physical interferences, then it doesn't matter what happens, there are no johns. Amount of warmup games, sandbagging, or anything doesn't count. If you sandbagged and lost, then it's your fault that you weren't good enough to sandbag and win.

Very good point Tiep, it makes sense that the Sandbagger shouldn't lose, since afterall wouldn't they be able to have a change of tides and totally kick ***?

I'm sorry if i'm being rude or anything but I say things that some people don't really want to say outloud.


But the way you portray yourself online is a lot like how you act in person. You seem to think a lot about yourself online and in real life. Like you think that you know a bit more then us. I remember at the tourney at Nicks house that you kept giving us advice and telling us stuff like "Samus can't grapple the bottom of Battle Field" and you were arguing about this with one of our smartest player, Troy. I hate to tell you but Samus CAN grapple the bottom of Battle Field. I think a few people would think you are arrogant in real life maybe more then online.

Omg, I never said you can't grapple at the bottom of Battlefield. Communication error? I was saying that you couldn't grapple on the opposite spike coming in from the other end. I've tried this a million times, and it doesn't seem possible. I used to play as Samus a lot (I also play Link/Y Link a lot), and you LOSE if you don't grapple on Battlefield. I do this all the time. Misunder-fvcking-standing.

You should calm down Evan. When you guys were talking about the grapple thing we said that you can grapple the bottom. You just said you can't without clarifying which area you meant. I'm pretty sure you just said that BF was bad for Samus because she can't grapple onto it. Don't get so mad over something I said like that. I even said I was sorry at the start. I'm sorry again if that really set you off but I was going easy compaired to some others might think.

I don't sandbag because I think I'm better than everyone. I sandbag for the most part because it's the best way for other people to get better. Like with John I tried to gauge it so that I was always only slightly better than him.

Also, despite what anyone thinks, Ryan is the most improved player.

Yes I say Ryan has improved the most as well. But if I was Peach back then when I started playing I think I would have improved as much as him. But I wasn't peach back then so doesnt really matter now. But props to Ryan for improving so much.

BTW Samus can not only grapple but wall jump off the little part on the side to return. I also have a little plan of if you miss the wall jump to shoot the fully charged beam to project you enough outwards to upB return.

Question (tournament question) - If somebody does not choose to pick a counter stage, are they allowed to just pick a character of their choice after the winner decides to change character? I think I heard this once and I just want to clarify.

Ex. Player A and Player B. A wins, so B could counter with stage to start, but chooses not to. Now it is A's choice whether or not to pick a character and then it would be B's choice to counter character as they did not pick a stage. Thanks for the feedback on this.

ALSO- John, at the anime convention, are you gonna sell stuff like last year (I remember you said you were selling Bleach stuff last year)? I would be interested to go and check it out and hang out too.

Twas arson, you'll hear it in the news soon. This was on the 15th of THIS month. dammn. Shoot mang, that's life i guess.

I heard that through my teacher on Tuesday and it was on the newspaper today. It was really sad. It was one of my teachers' daughters' friends. Man... She was supposed to go on a field trip for camping with her friends. Grade 7 trip and all. They waited for her and had to leave without her. One of the classmates' moms went to by her house and yeah... Felt so depressed after hearing that. Some people in our city are real ***holes and deserve to burn in hell, I swear.

Going back to my last post, I'll be absent from smash until June, then it's Smash every Sunday! (Or every second Sunday!)

Anyway, there's been a lot of posts recently, I just skimmed though and saw some stuff about arrogance and sandbagging. Then I saw NO JOHNS. That's what caught my attention. People who don't make excuses are a lot of fun to play against, and are also very respectable. All of BC's best players are NO JOHNS - when you beat them that one time out of thirty rounds, they really make you feel good about yourself, rather than make up some lame excuse to defend their superiority.

I guess in Jeremy's words, "I hate people who can't appreciate their friend's improvement."

Some of us know one smasher that was like that. He once said that he's planning on quitting Smash because there was no competition, so obviously he wasn't interested in seeing people improve. (Not like he was the best player anyways.) He seems to really have quit for good now, though.

Snake needs a swimsuit costume.

P.S. - Sorry to hear about your friend Arson. I saw it in the news yesterday and today as well.

It's aite. He's in critical condition now. and his GF's dead.. she went to Hamber (Nick and my gf's school). She was sleeping over that ONE night. And course he had beef with everyone, and everyone had beef with him. But why would someone kill such young people. It's disgusting. He's going to feel so guilty tho, if he lives. Well... it's not fair for people to say they were sandbagging.. if they lose. Does that make sense? like, before you lose.. couldn't you just go crazy and put them in their place? btw I <3 Tiep's samus.

Or maybe I did clarify it, but you didn't hear me? Anyway, I've improved a lot, but I don't really think of myself being very arrogant (yes, I do get carried away online, but whatever). I've improved so much in the last month or two. I went from not even knowing what a SHFFL is, to being a fairly decent competitive player.

Troy - No I am not selling anything at the convention this year. Last year we had some complaints a few tables down because the girls I was with were acually advertising their sales by like putting 3-4 signs up around the place and that they were to loud. Also it was incredibly boring.

Evan - I'm just gonna drop this whole thing... it's going no where. I've said what I wanted to say and your just bringing up more things to say about it. I know what I heard and I'm going to stick with it.

Well if you beat Adam or myself in Marth ditto's I don't think makes you good. You are decent but not that good. Because even if you do beat us you gotta take into consideration that we don't play marth. I think only Eric Tiep Nick and Darius play Marth. Challenging everyone to Marth ditto's all the time won't get you any better. You gotta play against other characters in serious matches other then Marth Dittos. You should challenge some people in MM Your Marth vs Their Main. Then they will play their best on you and you can get better like that.
Thats how I got better anyways. Like I've challenged your Marth against my Fox for about 4 months and you still never want to MM unless I was Marth. So my advice is play more variety of opponents in a serious match.

and yeah Manli, what john said is true, u need a variety of Chars unless u can have an uber crazy marth then u can stick with him only but i dont think u will so choose sum1 else as well as marth,

Yes Nick plays Marth. Its decent but nothing special. Ryan your Marth can beat his for sure.

As Darius said... I'll be free on Sunday and be able to smash in June more. Saturday is bad for me because it is pretty much summer and Saturday theres lots of stuff people always want to do then and I won't make it to most smashfests unless its a STD. Then i'll ditch my friends for it. Also I'll be working on Ragnarok a lot more because being a GM keeps you really busy if theres no school for people.

If you beat one of us, it's cool to be happy about it and I'm happy for anyone in BC who beats me except for like a handful of people (you know who you are) that I expect to beat me sometimes. Just be happy but don't get TOO carried away by bringing it up alot or using it as a direct comparison for example like "I beat Eric's Falco once, therefore I can beat Nick's Falco too!" **** like that REALLY pisses me off...>.>
