AMC 12 is a nation-wide math contest that high school seniors take. I remember getting like a 110-something on it when I took it back a few years ago .

I doubt, however, it was harder than my very recent physics midterm lol.

the AMC 12 is taken by juniors and above, AMC 10 for frosh/soph, and AMC 8 for below.

I remember making it to the AIME my sophomore year with a 128. got ****ed up at the AIME though.

Oh lawd.

I took the AMC 10 as a Sophomore and didn't answer like....10 of the questions. That was so difficult, and they are the type of math questions that you are like "....wtf".

Yeah I did the AIME all 4 years. That test IS impossible. I averaged probably 3 or 4 right, out of 15. Anyone who takes this one, good freaking luck, you'll need it.

Man, I ****ed up the AMC12 so bad :< Could've made it too, but all those stupid mistakes kept piling up.

And now I need to go to another school to take the AMC12B if I want to make it to the AIME again...

But yeah, the AMC12 was a LOT harder than usual this year, I was pretty pissed because I was expecting it to be a cakewalk >_>

Yeah, it was pretty difficult. I only got like 12 of 'em. Then again, I am in 11th grade. No one from my school has made it passed the AMC the 3 years I've taken it, and I am pretty **** good at math. It's redonk.

Last year I tied for the best grade at the local high school as an eighth grader =P

Haven't taken this year's yet, though.

Nah man, there's this kid in my school that makes it to USAMOs and even he said this one was mad hard compared to the average AMC12.

You should take the AMC12B if you want another shot at it, I'm expecting it to be a lot easier. And you'll already be warmed up cause of the first one ;D

I made it to the AIME in like 7th grade lol.
The AIME is honestly not that bad, but everything above it is pretty "gay".
I'm currently studying for the Putnam exam right now. That **** is difficult.
