What standard combo, you mean the jabs?

You just have to tap the other direction quick and then immediately jab right after. You can do it out of shield and dodges.

Yeah that is the one. I guess my reflexes are still jank compared to most people. Whenever I tap the other direction I do it for too long and end up in a dash.
