So because I don't care for tournaments or a 'high level of play' my opinion is worthless? Competitive Smash must seem so newcomer-friendly to other people...

Because sports don't have minor leagues, or people who practice them at home, their opinions and judgements are completely worthless.

You're the one who came over to the Project M boards, a game geared for competitive play, and said "You may know more about how to play this game than I do...but I think you're wrong. Not gonna give any reasoning...that's just how things is". I wouldn't call it an opinion. More like a blatantly false statement.

Project M is geared for any kind of play be it casual or competitive or any inbetween, and it's great at any level of skill /fanboy

Of course somebody can be good in a particular circle like minor leagues, and their opinion should not be instantly discarded.. but his opinion will most probably weight less than that of a world champion. Even i I was a good town-level soccer player I wouldn't even try to discuss top level soccer with FIFA world cup players. Especially not with Suarez, that guy bites
