I just read through, and I'm in favor of a Temp Broom process. It could work just like the temp debater process works, allowing about 5 applicants every week or two. It would be easy to fake your way in, but as Scav said you wouldn't remain a member long.

I can wait to get into the back room, it will happen eventually, but some people may want to join as quickly as possible. It might be difficult to keep track of all nominees, but it might be worth a trial run. Maybe just give it a shot for, say, a month?

Five applicants a week?! Should be five a month, which the chance no one will get accepted.
Honestly, there is NOTHING wrong with the process of new Broom members. Temp Broom idea is unnecessary ,and is coming from the Proomers that would rather be a member then to intelligently contribute to the Broom.
