Not directly, but it carries momentum from initial dash into taunt, making the taunt cancel easier.

Actually Doc can kinda do Taunt cancel without AR, but the timing is REALLY tight. I've been trying to do moonwalk taunt edgecancels into edgehog with him, but never was successfull.
