roacherman, I would suggest reading smogons breeding guide. Heh, you can't pass EVS. I started out by just breeding for natures. Then IVs and hidden powers. Once you get the hang of it it becomes pretty "easy".

Nice Smeargle. Also, once you learn the natures, characteristics, Ivs, systems, etc, you feel smart too XD. I just answered lv100's question on some IV things on the Q&A if you want to read it.

Pikachu takes too long to appear in Viridian forest in LG. So long, that I found a shiny golden Caterpie before I found a Pikachu LOL.

I also found a shiny slowpoke, which is a lavender color.

In Ruby, after my battery dried up(the berry program update was done over 3 years ago) and time based events stop ocurring, my first encounter was a shiny Zigzagoon.

I remember catching my first shiny in Pearl. I had the game for three years and I was praying for a shiny. One lucky day I was training on route 225 and I found a Shiny Raticate. I was relatively surprised. The next time I picked up that game, I found yet another shiny Raticate. I was rather dissapointed. I don't need two shiny Raticate. Thankfully, while playing Sapphire for some unknown reason I found a shiny Volbeat which made up for the double raticate problem.

Wow, really? In LG the first pokemon i found when i stepped into Viridian forest was a pikachu. lol. But i didn''t catch it. For some reason i don't like Pikachus...

I'll never forget catching Shiny Hoothoot on the weekend Ash got his Noctowl or whatever. i felt so special. <_< Then R/S/E killed my Noctowl by saying it's never allowed back into my fun zone.
