Good stuff. Your Marth is pretty solid. But you should put some "razmatazz" on some more setups like Dthrow+SH+SideB to Uair.

So you're saying he should be flashy instead of just playing smart? Not the best idea, not to mention that combo is very risky if you do it too much.

That was ok... The first stock spike was good but. At :50 you should have waited for Falco invincibility to wear off then Dolphin slash instead Dolphin slashing onto the platform. You shouldn't be getting knocked off the ledge at 1:03. and at 51 seconds why did you attempt a grab so far away from Falco?

Great matchs you PWN him, but just some deitals
first match: 0:41 and 0:44, you could countered that laser.
0:48 I think you could wait instead of aiming for the edge, or use dancing blade to win time and scare the falco.
1:04 may a dancing blade at the end of the second jump could saved you.

Overall you're a great player, i think just add some retreating f airs against shields would do wonders (but since you're fiting against a projectile spamer, don't get too away.)

When Falco's invincibility frames wear off on the ledge, SH a dair (pretend you're autocanceling Ganons dair) on the line near the edge, going for a spike. Its pretty situational (not many people I know sit on ledges) but at 2:28 in the first vid it did happen.

Nice ledge snaps in the second vid. At :58 in the second, you could have dolphin slashed to avoid that spike. I don't blame you for getting hit, though.

Can we see some videos that last longer than three minutes? How about ones where you lose? You played everyone of those guys five times, right? If you didn't lose any of those, then it's time to find someone else to play. And besides, they weren't too great themselves, wait until you find a shield-grabber that punishes you for improper spacing, or a camper that won't allow you to get close enough to land a hit. Once this happens, you'll have to adapt, and once you learn to adapt consistently, you'll realize technical skill isn't everything, and once this realization occurs, a whole new side of Brawl will open up for you.

Wow, just wow. I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt here while watching you fight the falco and others thinking maybe these opponents aren't as bad as they seem. Then I saw the diddy. Playing diddy myself I realized that I have to agree completely with casanova. Not only did your diddy opponent ("someone who isn't terrible") not short hop, glide toss, or realize that kicking out of a side-b KILLS YOU he spammed c-sticks and for some unknown reason used up-b . . . ABOVE the stage leaving himself vulnerable to your attacks. If all this wasn't bad enough, you (with a high %) walked into one of his charged c-sticks. I understand that mistakes like that happen but your biggest mistake is giving credit to opponents who don't deserve it and thinking that it makes you a better player. Practice more and let us know when there are improvements.

not my fault he chose diddy, vid got posted regardless, watch his olimar and his ICs

olimar is his main that can most definately **** you, and ICs are close to his second nowadays.

once again, get some rep before you throw the "man you arent good" critique.

I'm not going to lie, his Olimar and Ice Climbers didn't look too hot either. I'm not going to discredit you as a player, even if I can point out your mistakes, but your opponent(s) was not as promising as you seem to be claiming. If your victories against his skills is what you're going by, you don't have too much. Just my two cents.

Thank you Ulevo. As far as takeurlife2 goes I mean wtf? Why post a video and ask for critiques if you are going to flame every person who gives you actual criticism. That isn't how you learn. I came and gave an unbiased personal opinion. My diddy? My rep? These are not what is important here. Reread my previous post and casanova's along with your friends and take notes because there are some serious flaws here that can be fixed if you would only listen to those who try to help.

edo, you need some background on this

my first post of vids was me vs my local beaumont competition, basically they sucked... bad.

i was getting flames saying that im showing off, when in reality i was making a rant about how i have no one good in my area to play.

so i played these guys who, although are not the level i needed to play, are 34545435X better than the guys in my original videos.

this second set of videos in the series, which are all the ones in this thread, were supposed to show me against opponents who could fight back and know how to play.

the reason they were short fights? i adapted playstyles that countered theirs. they are good players, but once you figure them out, they arent at the stage yet of changing things up to counter their opponent.

ill admit esca isnt a pro at olimar, but he knows how to play with him. sidestep ALLOT, and grab ALLOT. he also does the annoying dthrow to usmash to uair combo, but couldnt use it on me as my playstyle countered his.

about diddy, who btw just as a side note is my most HATED character in the history of forever because of the sounds he makes that are like nails on a chalk boards for me, i told esca "lol ok dude im recording this next match" aaaand for some reason he chose diddy. idk, gonna have to talk to him about that one =p

Yeah, just take the advice, we're only trying to help. If you ask for criticism, not everyone is going to see a godly Marth, some of use will recognize the terrible opponents and take that into consideration, not just the fact that you demolished them. While you do have a few flaws, that doesn't mean you don't have a solid Marth--you do, but that still doesn't change the fact that your opponents aren't challenging you; you said so yourself. And if they are unable to adapt to your playstyle after you've adapted to theirs, then you're growing way faster as a competitive Smasher than they are, and the bottom line remains—you need to find new competition. Until then, expect the "omg you pwnd him" comments from mediocre players, and don't blow your top when someone offers actual criticism.

i'm the falco in the vif. i'm sure he has become better, because he plays more and puts in more effort towards smash. for me, i don't play much anymore. i haven't played since that fest and before that fest i didn't play since this tourney on the 14th. i just play this game for fun now, even though it isn't very fun anymore. -_- i'm sure i could be a lot better if i actually put in more effort but i don't.

I just have to say y'all, that Olimar wasn't bad. takeurlife2 was just even better, the best I've seen in a while. I saw the usual tactics and methods that Olimar players use to rack and kill and saw takeyourlife2 utilize, punish, and **** most of the decisions(that weren't bad) that the olimar made. There wasn't much he could do about most of it. So in short, GOOD JOB Takeyourlife2. Great matches, and if that's your normal play, I hope I never have to brawl you in the finals somewhere.

Edit: I hope this doesn't inflate your ego. You DO have room to improve ya know. I'd try using counter a bit more if your opponent is going to be predictable about smashes.
