I have a question: When does this contest officially end?
one week from the post date - so July 11.
Some of you have posted taglines that were already posted in the first few pages. YOU MUST ENSURE THAT NO ONE ELSE HAS USED YOUR TAGLINE BEFORE POSTING!! I think the tagline "No Johns" has been suggested like five times already.
Keep 'em coming, but don't forget to check that it hasn't been used already!

these are funny and all but the word SWINDLED would look much cooler on the front of a t shirt
or even change it up a lil and say that "YOU GOT SWINDLED"
maybe with a picture of the doc caping a samus ball or someone trying to hit him
or a luigi uppercut or kirby inhaling someone.

I didn't read all the suggestions made in this thread, so I apologize if my idea (or something similar enough) has been used.
For the text, I propose something simple like the words "Join Us" over "Smashboards.com". Above the text could be a picture of a group of the SSB characters, i.e. that one official artwork pic with the crowd of characters. It demonstrates very concisely that we are a community, and if the point of the shirts is to get people to check us out, or just to demonstrate our community pride, I think this does the job fairly effectively.
Alternatively, instead of just saying "Join Us," it could say "Join the Melee," or "Join the Brawl," but that requires people to place an undue amount of emphasis on a particular game in the SSB series, and I know there are people here who will only play SSB64.
That is all.

No. Just no. We don't need anything about Brawl nor a specific character (except *maybe* a grimer reference).
The best shirt thus far was the wavedashing one that was mocked up... though it should be Y + angle R. And also change Mario to a grimer wavedashing >.>' Actually that Mario looked pretty badass.
As for my own ideas:
Something like "Showing you the knee'd to wavedash."
"Smashboards - proving points with money matches since 2000!"
Having a similar concept/style as the simple wavedashing shirt but something like...
DK -> WD -> taunting
Luigi -> WD further -> taunting
Samus -> SWD to the back of the T shirt -> Taunting
Then somewhere on the shirt, "Making the game go further. Smashboards."
Or...
You go from (all in movement poses) fish ->frog ->rabbit ->DK -> man -> wavedashing with the tagline of something like "Elitist, or just more evolved? - Smashboards"
Obviously you could tweak these...Hmm I'll add more later. I know it seems very wavedash-centric... that was kinda unintentional.
