Crippling weaknesses? For a start, I don't think I said anything about ZSS having crippling weaknesses, so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to defend a statement I never said. Secondly, she doesn't have any 'crippling weaknesses'.

You do know what 'crippling' means right? A character can have weaknesses without them being crippling, i.e, being detrimental to them succeeding at high level play.

On ZSS: The thing is she does have weakness. Her grab is terrible and she wants the grab. She can't even tomahawk effectively because she has to risk her grab's terrible 16 frame startup and 69 frames of endlag. She lacks rising aerials. If she wants to hit you with an aerial she has to wait till she reaches the peak of her jump (frame 22) to do it, because of this you can punish her short hop if you stay observant of her jump patterns (22+ frames with no hitbox). Basically you don't need to try and react to her aerials you can just react to her jump. Her poor tomahawk game means it's difficult for her to really mix up what she does when she jumps at you. Most of her grounded buttons are pretty meh as well. She doesn't really have any good grounded pokes.

Obviously she's still a great character but she does have weaknesses. Her strengths just happen to overshadow them.

Honestly I've been expecting more activity in this thread and I usually wait until there is a lot of votes and the thread starts to slow before updating... Normally I get like, 100 or so votes before updating and sometimes I'd get that in 3 days. Now its like a week and I have around 50

It makes it harder for characters to move with fewer votes. That said, I'll update it tomorrow (remind me if I forget) but I may have to drop the requirements to move from +5 to +4 or something.

I still wish this thread was in the Competitive Discussion subforum, it sticks out like a sore thumb here in General Discussion. At least people over there would be more informed in their votes and it'd lead to more conducive discussion (I am NOT calling anybody out here, I'm just saying people who had their knees deep in competitive Smash giving their input here would give the thread more attention than it currently does). Just my two cents though.
