I found the "rolling glitch" in Wario Land 3 a few days ago, but it was in the Cave of Flames, and not in any other places mentioned with the glitch. I was butt-stomping one of the tadpoles that jump out of fire, and the one behind me apparently bumped into me on the same frame.
I also discovered a bunch of glitches in Nicktoons Racing for PC back when I was around 8-9 that nobody else seems to know about. I wish I could record footage of doing them.
The game I probably did the most glitch hunting in (well, besides Sonic '06
), was also not a very popular one - The Legend Of Spyro: Dawn Of The Dragon. I loved playing around in it so much since there were a lot of glitches and exploits involving giving Spyro and Cynder absurd movement options, to the point where I ended up putting in over 100 hours into the game because I put so much time into just hunting for new ways to exploit it's mechanics.
The glitch I know I was the first to discover (or at least the first to post about it online) was one involving getting infinite height with Cynder, using careful exploiting of a brief moment in her aerial light attack combo to gain height. Basically, in the third attack of the combo, she does a little back flip kick that actually moves her up slightly, and she moves back down in the fourth attack or if you stop. However, there is a brief moment where you can start a fresh new combo without losing that extra little bit of height from the third attack in the combo, so if you repeat the process, she can gain height indefinitely.
In this image below, I am way past the invisible boundary for the "flying mode" in the game, and you can even clearly see the black void below the level map.
I have also found ways to use this to sequence break certain sections in the game which is useful in speed running the game (something I have done in my own time but never publicly).
It's been 5 years since I was doing all of this though. Sometimes I wonder if I should try to make something out of it, like a speed running community for the game.
