With "My Unit" customizable avatars when it comes to playable characters, there are two main ways that they are handled.
A: Characters that the character makes, but are largely handled by the game in terms of personality. Moreso it being your version of a character than a characterization of yourself. Of course,


being prime examples but even to a similar extent your variant of Revan in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
B: A character whom the plot happens around and you make in just about every means. The best example I can give off the top of my head is any user in an MMO.
