I wanted to run this by you guys since I thought this was an interesting theory: Based on what we've seen so far, Zygarde may not be the co-/main star of the movie. This idea comes from how Pokémon typically does its advertising, they'll show off the co-star in December along with a title, and then reveal the event Pokémon/main star in February. For instance, Kyurem was revealed in December along with the title of its movie (Kyurem vs. the Sacred Swordsman), and then Keldeo was revealed two months later. Instead however, Volcanion is revealed in December, long after Zygarde initial reveal, and it's the one stated to be in the movie. Zygarde's on the other hand is not in the title, not even remotely implied, and the scans do not imply it'll have a role, instead focusing on Volcanion. That's an odd treatment for a movie Pokemon, and combining that with the fact that Zygarde is getting a notable role in the main anime, it seems that it may be getting the Meloetta treatment, which would be very odd to see considering it's supposed to be a cover legendary and we haven't had one miss a movie role since Ho-oh. That would go with the idea that something completely new is up for next year.

Also, before it's brought up, the teaser at the end of the Hoopa movie doesn't really mean anything as the teasers aren't reflective of the actual plot. For instance, after Arceus' movie, we saw a teaser with Lugia fighting Ho-oh in a manner similar to other cover legendaries, that movie turned out to be Zoroark's movie and they were nowhere to be found.

Did they release the Zygarde movie yet? Or is Volcanion going to be part of that movie, provided it hasn't been released?

That's what they said about Gen 6.

Though at this point my guess would be Gen 7 in 2017 for NX. Which would be... quite the change for the series.

IF NX is a Console Mobile hybrid it'd be really smart to have Gen 7 to launch with it. That'd be pretty damn cool.

What excites me about the NX being potentially 2 in one is the potential for a game to be focused on one more than the other.

Pokemon, for example, would be Mobile focused. But when you bring it to the Console, you get HD battles on your TV.

What happened was that the leaks group got shut down. I believe originally it was just going to be shut down, but the mods-- mainly @--- (if I'm not mistaken) figured a compromise where the leaks group (which had over 1,000 members) could populate the NintenZone thread. There was a lot of history in the leaks group; It's where we discussed a lot of the Smash for Wii U/ 3Ds leaks (vaanrose was a big player in that thread too), it's where I originally posted the 3DS and Wii U datamining information. So instead of outright being deleted it was archived.

I'm just warning you and the other people that we do talk about leaks a lot. Heck, we are discussing a CoroCoro leak right now. This isn't even the first leak we talked about this week. We discussed the Pokken leak before sites even reported it. Usually leaks end up being fake, but a lot of the regulars here enjoy reading these fake leaks/ discussing their validity. So if things get leaked we are going to discuss it here as if it does happen we won't know if it's true or not right away. Most of us here (myself included) even doubted shinyquaqsire's datamining leak when he first posted it.

In fairness, I recall there being a pretty similar feeling about "Pokemon Gray" and look how that turned out.

As much sense as Z makes and as much as everyone (including me) has assumed it's coming, it's sure taking a long time for them to actually so much as announce it, which is starting to make me doubt that anything is happening and think that maybe we will jump right to Gen 7. That would be severely disappointing since the "third versions" almost always improve upon replay value through adding postgame content and that's one of the biggest complaints I've seen about Gen 6. It also doesn't make much sense because...it's much easier to make that than a brand-new game and it's Pokemon so it'll still sell like hotcakes.

But if you look at the gaps between the release dates for previous original versions and "third versions," it's typically ~2 years between releases, whereas if we take into account that Z would probably be announced at least 6 months prior to release, we're looking at it being close to 3 years since X and Y were released before Z is released even if it's announced very soon. That's a lot of speculation on my part that doesn't prove anything, of course, but it has me wondering if I've been making a faulty assumption the whole time nevertheless.

Oh, that's a good point, I wasn't thinking about it from that angle. I guess as much as that seemed a pretty obvious indication, I still wasn't positive that that indicated anything for the games?

I want to think they're just taking their time for now.

Also remember, we had ORAS after XY.

Gen V didn't get any remakes and HGSS came /after/ Platinum.

Besides the Orange Islands(which the Sevii Islands were based upon in the RBY remakes), the actual show always had seasons that was related to the actual game series. It's always based upon them. Using Z is a bit more obvious than just putting XY The Next Chapter(for instance).

A new trailer for the new Yu-Gi-Oh! movie has dropped and seeing Kaiba in all his glory makes me happy. The animation looks so great. Anzu/Téa looks cute as always. Of course, cards will be given out when seen in theatres. I'm sure this will be screened outside Japan too. Kaiba vs Yugi tho~

Rare has the final say over Rare Replay coming to Wii U or not? Before you lot jump down my throat, no, I don't think this has anything to do with Smash, I doubt it'll even come to fruition but... that's interesting. That's very interesting.

Also I want it. Rare Replay is one helluva collection. :D

Looks like Children of the Atom over again. Interesting that they're playing up Akuma's noble side. Though compared to the Mishimas I guess he does come out looking peachy.
