He's like the only recurring character after Jack and Aku. (Which actually says a lot considering he's only been in 4 episodes; everyone else would be considered lucky to even get a second episode)

It's still silly. It is a RPG, so a huge appeal is the story. Releasing a launch trailer at the time of release is contradictory.

Plus if you're hyped for a game and you don't wanna get spoiled, why do need to see any footage of it that isn't gameplay related. That's your fault. Don't blame everyone else when they didn't spoil anything major.


I avoided MKX spoilers like crazy aside from gameplay and fatalities but even then I still know the ending and how it played out but I didn't know all the details because I ignored footage of it and LPs (I missed out on TBFP and SGB's LP of it just because I didn't want to get spoiled)


Hell, I haven't seen anything from Bayonetta 2 because I didn't want to be spoiled by it aside from gameplay footage (I did see Star Fox stage and mini-game+ Bayonetta as )

Then don't look for anything X related then. It's really hard to not ignore them when you see them.

Except there was a spoiler for X in the Snake support thread here, which makes it impossible to avoid.

There was also a spoiler in this exact thread that was unmarked, which spoiled something I didn't know before.

Related: I really, really hate Youtubers who place spoilers directly into their thumbnails. I remember this happening when Shulk/Duck Hunt/Bowser Jr. were leaked. I voluntarily accepted that risk as a member of this thread, but an hour later Youtube was absolutely wallpapered with screenshots as thumbnails. Everybody was spoiled that day.

People still brag about Xenoblade spoilers like it's no big deal. I've been spoiled on so much that I've actually quit playing the game because it has so little to offer me anymore.

Likewise, as little as a day after Undertale released, a thumbnail revealed the True Final boss, and shortly after I saw everything else I didn't want to see well before I got to experience it. I'm not done with the game, not even my first playthrough. Nothing beats the experience of seeing something for the first time, especially with that game. That has been robbed from me.

The attitude towards spoilers in general is so bad that there's literally nothing you can do but totally stop using the internet until you're done, or rush the game uncomfortably fast. Nobody has any consideration for those of us who want to take our time to smell the roses.

Until such time this changes, I will faithfully remain your local forum grump, waving my cane ineffectively as spoiled children run through my lawn.
