Kiefer Sutherland and the composer for TPP will be at TGA too
My general expectation:
As Konami's CEO steps on stage, there are jeers, boos, and possibly thrown copies of Ground Zeroes. In spite of the vitriol, the CEO steps forward, constantly giving a gentle smile. A picture of Big Boss is set up on the screen behind him.
"I know you're all mad. This game left you with...."
The CEO removed a mask, adjusted his hair, and places on large spectacles. It was Kojima.
"...A phantom pain. However, I'm here to give you a joy you can truly feel. With the Phantom Pain, we tested the waters of our base. But now, I understand: Gamers need a hands-on experience. One that feels real. No phantoms to be found through digital code. It's my proud duty to announce..."
Kojima raised his arms as two men rolled out a large box of some sort covered by a blanket. When it was near the center of the stage, Kojima lowered his arms. The blanket was lifted.
"Metal Gear Solid 6: The Pinball Pain!"
The crowd, almost ready to cheer, stopped. Donna Burke was lowered from the ceiling, yelling "WHHHHHOOOOHAAAAAAAAAAAA" as the gamers began to scatter, cry, and yell in despair. Keifer Sutherland began to fulton as many of them as possible, smiling earnestly as he did so.
"THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE WROUGHT!" Kojima screamed, before starting to laugh. "THIS IS MY PHANTOM PAIN!"
Due to the holes in the ceiling from the mass fultoning, the venue began to collapse. The Pinball Machine suddenly caught fire and gave screaming noises. It was chanting latin. Soon, the wood stage started to collapse, leaving only a small platform for Kojima to stand. Below, the fires of hell erupted.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!?", the gamers could hear from the depths of hell as Kojima laughed into the microphone. Some gamers jumped into the hellfire to escape the sounds of the pinball machine. It started to play. Eyes melted, people began to curl up. All while Kojima kept laughing.
"YOU WANT A RUSE?! I'LL GIVE YOU A RUSE CRUISE YOU'LL NEVER FORGET!"
Molten pillars of lava formed behind Kojima. He stepped on them, unphased and unharmed, to reach the pinball machine. He cracked his knuckles and began to play.
Slowly, but surely, the brimstone and hellfire went away. The glass stopped falling, and people sat and quivered in silence. All that was left were the sounds of a pinball game and a childlike-Kojima, smiling and laughing.
He briefly turned back.
"Oh, and I'd like to announce that The Phantom Pain received the Game of the Year award. Thank you very much for attending."
