The thing is these people are stating it as if it's a fact. I'm not saying you're not allowed to think Undertale is better then Super Mario World, I'm trying to say how embarassing the fandom is reacting to it's being in the poll and being up against Mario World. Sorry if it was not clear.

Undertale is an experience that I will cherish forever, it's more than just a flavor of the month to me. It's an experience you will have to play yourself in order to get the reason it is so popular.

I kept my mouth shut when people starting saying they didn't like Undertale and I even held my tongue when some of them were dissing Steven U, but this video finally got a reaction out of me. I just... what even is this and why does it exist? Yokai watch was already balls off the wall crazy enough, who in the world thought it needed this? ESPECIALLY at 0:22.

It's just a dance that kids can dance to really. Easy to dance to, insanely catchy. Not much more than that.

And deciding what my all time favorites are is a part of that bias because I love so many games from the different generations to the point that condensing them into a top 10 is a nightmare.

Yes, it's an incredibly pointless thing to think, but it really does affect me in this regard.

Though to be honest I'm not the least bit surprised. Granted in my subjective opinion that is utter bullcrap in every way, but it is the flavor of the month. It's the same when people hyped Shovel Knight to hell and back, or The Last of Us.

The reasons people praised The Last of Us are still VERY valid now, IMO.

10)Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky/ Super mystery Dungeon. Both are very close and amazing
9) Super Mario Galaxy
8) Final Fantasy 7( I like the series a whole, but choosing one is hard for me, so I went with 7)
7) Little Big Planet 2
6) Pokemon Black and White/ Black and White 2
5) Crash Bandicoot( Again, another series I can't choose one in, except for the later entries, they weren't as good)
4) Earthbound
3) Super smash Bros Wii U/3ds
2) Super Mario 3d World
1) Paper Mario Thousand Year old Door

There are so many games I could list, but I like this list. While they are in a order, there really isn't specific order for me, as they are are really good imo.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who remembers this.

Years later I'm still not sure what's so great about Last of Us. I always hear it praised in such a nonspecific way. Kenith once talked to me about it, and most of his explanation came down to the characters. And if that's what floats your boat, more power do you. But despite my love for RPGs I don't play games for story.

1. Undertale - An amazing story with depth, gameplay that ties to the story and world, lovable characters, an amazing soundtrack, and this game cracked my top 10 in an instant.

2. Super Smash Brothers Brawl - I played many a game of Smash Bros Brawl back in the day, and whenever I come back to it I love it as much as I did when I first played. It helps that my main is Marth, but my secondaries are Ivysaur and Ness, so...

3. Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix - One of my first games, and one that I still come back to and enjoy playing. The combat system is the best in the series, and the array of options available to the player create a scenario where you can win any battle with only skill.

4. Pokemon Platinum - An amazing selection of Pokemon, a fair difficulty curve, actual difficulty, a good endgame, it's overall the best Pokemon game in the series.

5. Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U - An amazing followup to Brawl, the best roster of characters out of ANY fighting game, great gameplay, and many a fun time with friends. I remember when I first got the game, I invited my best friend over and we jumped right in. We decided to play classic mode right off the bat, and the first battle we fought was a surprise battle where the trophy you think you're fighting gets BTFO. We were so surprised, it was great.

6. Star Wars Battlefront 2: The gameplay carries this game amazingly. Amazing on land battles, amazing space
battles, amazing everything. I can only hope Star Wars Battlefront 3 is as good.

7. Kirby Squeak Squad - My first Kirby game, and the first game I ever 100% completed.

8. Crash Bandicoot Tag Team Racing - One of my first video games, and one of my favorite racing games overall. When it was announced that PS4 could do PS2 emulation, this was the first game I thought of.

9. Custom Robo Arena - While the story is meh, the gameplay is great, and the large range of customization leads to a surprising amount of strategy in battles.

10. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of the Sky - An amazing story and narrative, as well as gameplay and locations tied to that made this game amazing, and more than likely is why I'm not interested in Super Mystery Dungeon.

Anyways, I remember most of the game's praise going to the writing, the characters (Ellie), and music, and all of those are VERY praiseworthy.

The Last of Us is only a standard third-person survival shooter, with some frustrating elements like the small supply capacity, but everything regarding the story and presentation is phenomenal.

I remember much of the game not because of the action but because of the memorable lines and exchanges littered throughout.

EDIT: Just in case it wasn't clear enough, Ellie is awesome. I'd link a montage of her swearing like a sailor, but you know...censor dodging.

I really would like the play Telltale's The Walking Dead, despite thinking the show is kinda lame.
But I highly doubt I'd enjoy it as much as The Wolf Among Us, as I too, am fatigued with post-apocalyptic zombie stories.
