Well I mean it's the octobrush. And it is also the Hokusai. I mean, that seems like what Nintendo was going for.

It's only called Octobrush in English because of the Kraken powerup attached to it. And that's the English name, not the original Japanese name.

Pablo is also the name of the brush and they said it refers to the artist, not a specific painting....so why is Hokusai treated differently?

Splatoon is a game that every weapon has a variation that has a different sub and special. I find it incredibly hard to believe a weapon would be named after a special or sub when loads of weapons share specials and subs and the special and sub WILL change on the variant version of the weapon.

I foolishly opened my window in my tiredness not realising it would set off my alarm. But that may have been a good thing. If someone is out there, they've probably been driven away from my house. My brother also thinks he did hear something right before the alarm went off.

Somehow I find it unsurprising that the three more wanted third party characters are "all-stars".

Speaking of which, I sometimes question whether or not we overstate the iconic status of certain characters. For example, I'm sure many of us who have been gaming for a while know who Bomberman is, but considering how Konami has treated him since their acquisition of his parent company Hudson Soft, I'm not sure if many people who started gaming two, three, or even five years ago know of him and I get the impression that he faded into obscurity.

Another example is Castlevania (not just Simon Belmont, but the series as a whole). Sure, it's a long-running and well-respected series, but if I'm not mistaken, most of the Castlevania games released in the past decade or so haven't even reached one million copies in sales.

Maybe I'm just overthinking this.

The problem is that the way it's presented is very orientalistic (I guess you can say old school SJW). It's saying: Picasso is an artist so he gets a reference just based on his name. Hokusai is a guy who drew octopus and women in a provocative way so he's referenced too. It's not fair to Hokusai, as Hokusai is truly an artist. The Fisherman's Wife is not his most famous piece of art, The Wave is. I see reprints of The Wave for sale all the time. I've never seen Dreams of the Fisherman Wife even mentioned in mainstream media here.

Nope, never. Lessons are only an hour and I have them only one time per week. I teach about 100 kids.

Wait. I did play Smash 3DS in between classes once. I felt like Sakurai as I had to keep it somewhat even to the kid. After that, we played on teams together.

Depending on what you want from a Resident Evil game it's either "okay" or "awesome".

Honestly, the 3DS version has tighter controls and makes better use of the 3DS's unique features, and I think it's one of the very best Nintendo 3DS games for those reasons.

That being said, the Wii U version has more content and looks prettier, but be warned...from what I remember its controls are very similar to Resident Evil 6.
