I would just go the emulator route, and patch the rom. The repro I'm using isn't in wide circulation just yet anyway. Granted the game itself was a pirate, but we still can't post links to that stuff so Google search it.That sounds pretty dang cool. Too bad I don't have a working NES. I'm surprised so far by how much they got right. Just got the 1st badge, Brock now has a Zubat & Vulpix on his team surprisingly.
If you need to fix your NES, first try cleaning your games with windex/alcohol & Q-tips. If that doesn't work, you may need to get a new pin connector for your system. They cost ~$10 and most stores with retro games sell them/will even install them for you (it's pretty easy though).
