I would just go the emulator route, and patch the rom. The repro I'm using isn't in wide circulation just yet anyway. Granted the game itself was a pirate, but we still can't post links to that stuff so Google search it.

I'm surprised so far by how much they got right. Just got the 1st badge, Brock now has a Zubat & Vulpix on his team surprisingly.

If you need to fix your NES, first try cleaning your games with windex/alcohol & Q-tips. If that doesn't work, you may need to get a new pin connector for your system. They cost ~$10 and most stores with retro games sell them/will even install them for you (it's pretty easy though).

Non-Mario characters in Mario Kart, huh?

My choices would be:

- Link
- Kirby
- Pac-Man
- Mega Man
- Sonic
- Pikachu (I would want a different Pokemon, but that would never happen)
- Samus
- Inkling
- Fox
- and R.O.B.

I decided to only go with one character per franchise because this theoretical game would still be a Mario game and I wanted to say Shovel Knight, but since he isn't in Smash or Mario Maker I assumed he wasn't a valid choice.

A new Mario Kart game has been announced, and they are allowing non-mario characters as DLC.

Now you have to choose 10 non-mario characters (and you can choose anyone from Smash and even Super Mario Maker, so if you want to choose the Majohng piece or that one anime girl, be my guess) as drivers for this new installment.

Oh! This sounds fun!

I tried to think of logical choices and surprises. Here's my reasoning:

Inklings could bring interesting track ideas with them. Imagine drifting through Camp Triggerfish, or ramping off the top of Moray Towers!

Kirby was chosen on account of Air Ride. Speaking of which, sequel when?

Let's face it: Cap needs a new racing game and Mario Kart would be a good temporary home until the next F-Zero.

Pac-Man is already in the Arcade Mario Karts, so why not MK9?

DHD fills a similar role to ROB in Mario Kart DS, a retro representative.

Sonic has been in racing games before, and his rivalry with Mario could easily cross into Mario Kart.

Mahjong Tile is just for the fun of it.

Excitebike was essentially Nintendo's first racing game, and the Biker would fit Mario Kart well. I imagine him being rendered in a 3D pixelated style, being composed of multiple cubes.

Balloon Fighter is a tribute to Mr. Iwata.

Olimar is a wildcard choice, and because an SS Dolphin Kart would be awesome.

That being said, a dog eating snacks and chocolate isn't always going to kill a dog. At the very least, it will give them liver trouble or there's always the possibility of them being fine in the end. Cause honestly, you would not believe the amount of chocolate and snacks that our dog has managed to eat. She most likely should've been dead a long time ago, yet is still kicking and energetic. But she has gotten away with eating so much chocolate and stuff that my father mentioned that if she ever did start getting liver problems, he would not pay for them. Yet so far, she hasn't had any yet.

I'm on the Chapter 23 with Camilla and I'm getting my rear end handed back on a platter. Primarily the stupid Dragon Veins she has. I tried to stay in the alleyways so the Blasts would have minimal effect and pass over, but she can use the damn things more than once in the same exact reigon, which is STUPID. It wouldn't be a major problem were it not for the sheer number of enemies that are really hard to approach without getting ganged up on. I'm honestly at a loss. I lost 2 units in chapter 22 and I really don't want to take more casualties now...

It was, and I do understand going for that since it needed its own identity aside from being the "Golden route", it's just that some of the gimmicks it chooses to use can be rather tedious to play. I would've liked a better balance with those gimmicks as some are fun ideas on paper, but can be pretty sluggish in execution.

Such a good design but she has as much HP as maged, can't double but always gets doubled, somehow has poor defenses despite being a knight, can't hit anything, has lower strenght than Rinkah and four movement on a game that requires you to constantly move ahead in every map is a death sentence
I mean, even in FE6, Roy can at least double, dodge and kill without too much trouble but Wendy would take years to even survive a battle
And at least Odin is useful in Conquest
Because once you get two Mjonlr and forge them, he'll be critting everything

Though I do like the point about FE's art/characters tending to reflect each era of anime.

I've seen that article in my Twitter feed yesterday. For the most part, it's an interesting analysis, though naturally opinionated.

I don't agree with some things said there, but it is true that the art style does match a lot with the respective eras of anime. The same can actually be said about The Legend of Zelda, to be honest.

And yes, waifus sell. The article does talk about it a lot and I'm not one bit surprised that a lot of people got into the series because of the dating sim elements they've been added and covering all sort of anime character archetypes with the character casts. The option to remove permanent death likely helped as well, though.

The pre-Awakening, post-Awakening divide in regards to FE is very much evident. And of course, the article's comment section reflects that.

There are interesting manga that I feel would've been better if it weren't for the blatant fanservice. (An example would be Shokugeki no Soma, which is a shounen manga about cooking that actually has a lot of research put into the theme by the authors, has great art, but then also has tons of gratuitous fanservice that is at odds with the manga's more serious moments.)

Serebii says that the magenzine announced it will be covering Sun and Moon starting next month.


CoroCoro also teases something called "Pokemon Elections" for the upcoming movie.

A count down for it will be posted on the official site, and CoroCoro promises that it'll be huge. It will start giving details next month as well.

That is a very weird coincidence, but I highly doubt the FBI was raiding him FOR his Homebrew work.

Apparently they haven't even arrested him, they just took all of his stuff and are holding him for 24 hours or something for questioning and stuff. And he was on the IRC so apparently he was still allowed to use a computer while being held?

Sounds very strange but apparently the source is very credible and Hykem doesn't seem to object.

Yeah. If it was my guess, he was probably working on something alongside his homebrew work which got him into some seriously bad legal trouble. If he would have gotten in trouble for homebrew things, it would've most likely been Nintendo that went after him and not the FBI.

The strange part is they apparently called his place beforehand to confirm his address which the FBI normally doesn't do. So, some of this doesn't add up, but we'll have to wait until more information comes out I guess.

I know. If the develop full nabbit PSAs they it would probably be done on villager first. It would take them longer to edit other characters who don't have villager's build, as it's challenging to do so with very different models.

The thing is though, the people who raided him did actually take every piece of technology that he had that could store things. So it does seem unlikely that it was a prank and it does seem unlikely that they made a mistake on it.

Like I said, he was probably doing way more illegal things than Homebrew.
