I would say Cosmic Carnage was worth it but that sucked and the only reason to care is the aesthetics and God-Tier music

This game looks pretty neat, the Genisis wouldn't have been able to handle the scaling it produced on the 32x. Problem is I don't see why it would need to be in 32X though. Oh well. Though yeah, that music is God-Tier.

Here's a significant difference.

Rosalina didn't do much to the Mario series except add a narrative, something that the franchise never had that wasn't in a RPG.


Shadow almost killed the Sonic series by adding a darker element to the series or did not need but was a nice change of pace but the fanbase loved him so much and **** all over his sacrifice and brought him back alive and had started in his own game before Eggman ever did and screwed over a Sonic series by jumping the freaking Shark and the main badguy in Sonic 06 is a Shadow look a like.


Shadow almost screwed up and killed the Sonic series and Rosalina just made Mario much more interesting. That's why Edgy the Hedgy is in Spinoff Hell where he belongs

Thing is, the Soundtrack was 100% made with Genesis instruments. Nothing 32X about it.

Man, Push is seriously one of the hardest working guys in Smash fandom. He took this past week "off" from Source Gaming, and I stepped in to make sure things were running smoothly. You wouldn't believe how much trouble it is just organizing things on the site and making sure everything is on schedule. He normally does this along with all his other SG work, not too mention his normal job. The man is a machine.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed upon it's announcement...but I have to say that this game should've waited since it's likely going to suffer simply because of the poor timing of it's reveal...first game announced after a lengthy hiatus, and one that is coming off of a title that was....less than satisfactory...

Do I think it's just using the Metroid name to gain additional sales? No...even though the same can be said for any spin-off title ever created...no one really complained about Metroid Prime Pinball (as far as I know) for using the Metroid Prime name...even though it's literally Metroid Prime in pinball form...

II like the idea of Shadow being a sharp contrast to Sonic and all but obviously he isn't handled well.

I would actually like for his game to get a complete remake. I think if done well it would good for his character; just remove the overly serious tone, keep all the stages vibrant and remove the vehicles ( he's as fast as Sonic, he doesn't need them, heck none of them do except Eggman ) and guns ( maybe keep the cartoony guns like the Omochao gun but seriously, reserve those for Nack The Weasal lol ), and retcon those stupid aliens...or atleast redesign them to fit the series artstyle.

I've actually been thinking about a new Shadow game recently. You know who would be great for it? Platinum Games.

1. Ocarina of Time...I remember spending hours as a kid running around Kokiri Forest in Wal-Mart while my Mom went shopping...I made absolutely no progress due to it being a demo and due to me being a dumb kid that was content running around grabbing Rupees...

2.Twilight Princess...to this day I have never enjoyed a Zelda game more than this one...I could go as far to say this is my second favourite game of all time (behind Metroid Prime) STOKED for the upcoming Wii U port!!!

3. , besides him..., besides her....Midna!....shocker I know...

4. oh gawd...I have to pick one? I don't really have a definitive favourite...The soundtracks from the Zelda franchise as a whole is pretty amazing...but for the sake of adding awesome music I'll pick this one...Stone Tower Temple

I've just thought over the concept of culling large chunks of the roster to replace it with new characters, and I have to say there's some complications here.

The first is that veterans don't have a 1:1 exchange rate for newcomers in terms of programming time. Each veteran's code is essentially copy-pasted from whatever the previous title was, with some exceptions granted but with every last one of them taking a good deal of data from their past selves. A newcomer requires an all-new batch of code, requiring far greater amounts of development time. As far as I can tell, Mewtwo was snubbed for so long because his coding was too wonky to just port directly and the developers just couldn't be bothered to put work into fixing the code of a veteran. Without porting complications, however, veterans seem to be a far more easily implemented group than newcomers.

The second is that rejected veterans get far more of an uproar surrounding them than snubbed newcomers in most cases. Sure, from time to time you get someone like Young Link. Pichu, Squirtle, or Ivysaur where the fuss isn't TOO loud, but just as many veterans will instantly skyrocket to being heavily requested (Roy, Mewtwo, Lucas, Wolf, Snake) to the point where most newcomers can't hold a candle to their request rates and some people will even refuse to buy the game if they are not present.

Finally, while there have always been and will always be exceptions, most new characters have less credentials than most veterans. We can fuss all we want about how *X* character holds up to *insert clone/blatant marketing here*, but how do they hold up compared to the average Mario character or Duck Hunt in terms of how recognizeable they are to a casual market? Most of them register about as well as *insert clone/blatant marketing here*, only the characters suggested typically get waaaaay less attention from the casual crowd once they're hooked in compared to *insert clone/blatant marketing here*. Compare the number of times Diddy Kong gets into fanfiction to the number of times FE/KI characters do. Yes, the reason for it is gross, but the point stands. If a character is unknown, it most likely at least has to hold up as shipping bait. Most commonly requested holdovers from the Melee era. . .are not.

I think the issue here is moreso that Nintendo has to show increasing discretion in what newcomers they add. Sooner or later they will utterly run out of newcomers that are worth it on an economic and representation-based level, and from THERE we start with the rotating cast of newcomers. Sure, we're probably going to lose at least Lucina and Dark Pit and who knows what else, but overall the cast we have has very few reasons to cull from it and a whole lot of reasons not to.
