I realized I needed to clarify that I recognized the drops of Puyo but that means I recognize the series and not the game if that makes sense.
They're both the worst parts of the anime fanbase, to be honest. They're the ones that make the anime fandom look weirder than it actually is. You know, the vocal minorities. Then again, every fanbase has their share of vocal minorities.

I've seen several anime/manga where you can clearly see what is the author's intent with the series and what is the tacked-on pandering (which no doubt the editors/publishers might have a hand on).

Most of the issues with that game aren't something you realise until you beat it.Apollo Justie is just as.much fun ans Wright's games so far. And i like the music better

How much money did they spend on it for that much money per month to be considered a failure? I figured it was just a very small budget title for them, considering all of the reused assets.

Sonic Runners is F2P, so they don't make money off the downloads of the game (which you are correct on, it's past the 10 million mark in terms of downloads IIRC).

Well the internet is just the information highway. It isn't any one thing beyond that. As much as people in the gaming or anime community may make jokes about how it's all weird and stuff, you have to remember we are in a bit of a bubble as it is.

Also, some context on the Sonic Runners situation.
Sonic Runners makes over $259,684 a month.
The lowest of the games that are considered successful, make over $432,807.
Note that this may not necessarily mean they are losing money on the game, but it's not making a respectable enough profit for their standards or financial plans.
Sonic Runners does reward you with the Premium Currency (Red Star Rings) without paying anything, the problem was that they also got more and more stingy over time to the point where it's way too much of a grind to play the game and progress without paying money. Also, you basically don't get anything guaranteed, everything is roulette based and what not, so the game is essentially a gambling game and it's near impossible to get anything you might actually want, and you can get dupes now.
I just get really triggered every time I hear the port talked about because that's how I view it, three different people forgot to read the OP in the RTC thread and started putting it into the logic of their posts when they weren't even supposed to, and I'm having feminine emotional difficulties right now.
