Considering Mewtwo, Squirtle and Ivysaur got dropped I wouldn't be too surprised. Roy came back because of his SMASH popularity. Best Corrin can hope for is a fig Smash following.

So I watched the Chandelure trailer. He is completely ridiculous. The moveset looks interesting, but that voice is slightly annoying. It sounds like Kamek inhaled some Super Mushrooms.

Because right now I'm not really feeling it, his game is insanely controversial and several people are harping about it, and his inclusion in Smash Bros.

On won hand he's unique, but on the other it could leave a bad taste in people's mouths. But I want to to know what you think.

I think he should stay. The hate/salt will die down eventually, plus no one else could even fight like him, and Fire Emblem is a big series in general.

I recall a time when people complained about Wolf's inclusion and how Starfox was "overrepped" in Brawl. Now a lot of people are upset that Wolf didn't return.

Give it some time for people to actually warm up and get over Corrin's inclusion, he might even gain some new fans that enjoy his playstyle, things may even change by the time the next instalment comes along as various games come and go too.

People will only warm up to Corrin IF he's cut. People still hate Mr. Game And Watch over a decade after his inclusion. People still hate R.O.B., Sonic, Toon Link, and Lucario. People still hate Jigglypuff.

2. I don't think the Fates controversy will really have impact by then. If anything, it really depends on how he ends up being recieved as a character. And the salt will die down, people have just been been pretty mad about his inclusion because well... He's an animu FE swordsman that "stole" whatever character they supported place.

I'm not saying it will doe down completely, but it probably will by a lot.

Just cut Roy. If Roy didn't make it then there would be much less backlash for Corrin. Maybe cut Lucina too - depends on if they will have time to change her back from costume to playable once again.

Honestly, IMHO Roy, Pichu & Yink should forever stay cut. Unnecessary. Dr.Mario is lucky since he is so similar visually to Mario anyways so he's okay and could possibly become a costume as originally intended but preferably have him as is.

**** popularity for Roy. People would switch to other characters if there's no Roy. There will be more new fans made than Roy fans lost.

Ban Reasons; Not that I remember, the glitch was the only bad thing but "MUH META" doesn't like development so Wuhu's sitting with Custom Moves and the Miis in a ditch having some tea

Skyloft; iirc the Waterfalls in a section of Skyloft weigh you down immensely nerfing characters with low jumps (Purin is one to note, but there are others) or recovery moves (Little Mac)

Delfino; Why it's banned in this game but not Brawl is beyond me

No one ever uses Skyloft, so I assumed it was banned. It had to be something big to keep it out of use.

Hell Miiverse can be easily useable especially if you just turn off the online and you don't have to see the messages

I'd say it's way too early to tell. I'd wait until we see how much of an impact Fates has first.

He got in Melee because of the reason Lucas WASN'T in Melee (Strange, isn't it)
Smash is the only reason I like Roy
In Fire Emblem's history he's just sorta there and his Papa was much better at Roy's job
And the only reason it isn't Pichu > Roy is because my bias for Roy's fire sword and semi-badass voice

I had the most interesting dream.

It was supposed to be a continuation of a Dr. Seuss book updated for modern audiences.

It took place years after the original book, which I'm actually sure doesn't exist IRL

A kid and his monster met up with the "Bad Guy" (He was the grumpy character like I am Sam) of the previous book. He was their landlord in the original book but in this one he tells them he's not their landlord anymore.

He seems obsessed with finding a certain monster. Possibly his monster from when he was young. But whatever the case, he makes it clear it's "A bad monster"

While the beginning is actually told in rhyme, it doesn't last very long.

The monster of the kid volunteers to help, but the kid doesn't believe he'd be of much use. He's too friendly.

Eventually they do all meet the monster, and the 3 try and lead it somewhere for some reason. With the monster taking the kid and jumping on a roof while the landlord goes some lower path.

The monster actually meets up with the landlord and "Turns him into a skeleton"

...

I don't remember much of what happened next but eventually the monster turned the kid and his monster to skeletons as well.

He begins to gloat, but is interrupted by a voice saying "You're wrong". It's the kid's skeleton. The kid's and either the landlord or monster's skeleton (Whichever character was Mr. Henderson) is seen walking toward the monster. The monster mocks them but the kid begins to explain something.

Then I woke up

This was actually only a fraction of the dream. The whole dream I was looking for the perfect present for someone in a store and actually read another book that was "Trying to bring back Speedy Gonzalez to a modern audience but not racist" or some junk. It was just a kid's interaction book with buttons and switches to interact with what happened on the page.

I friggin' love Duck Hunt. Plus it's for both versions AND it's a common pick by Online RNG, so I can enjoy it anytime!
Plus I can stand on the Dog's head.

You're given a menu to choose the chapter and when over them, it shows where the chapter takes place on a non-interactable map
But Birthright has unlimited skirmishes so you can replay old maps
I don't know about Conquest but I heard near the Japan release that there are some limited skirmishes

Given the fact that they're unique gives them a good chance of returning, though it's not guaranteed (consult. Yeah I know he came back, I'm just saying.).

I don't know how being from a controversial game is merit enough for a character to not be included/return in the next Smash considering we got of all things. And yeah, people were/are still/will continue to be salty about the Corrins being in Smash, but I think most of the hate comes from the circumstances of their inclusion rather than the characters themselves (that's not to say they don't get their fair share of it as well).

Personally, I think they should stay. They offer more variety to an already varied roster and they look fun to play.

I just hope that whoever mans the helm for the next game cuts back on FE and shows more love to other frachises.

At this point it's probably not worth the effort after STEAM bombed.

I don't like him nor his games, but he seems pretty likely to return because he brings more to the table than Robin and Lucina did. I think Ike and Marth are shoe-ins for every installment from now on; and I'm thinking mostly of Roy as I say that, 3rd-parties aside, most of the DLC characters were semi-clones or/and brought back because of their fans throwing a fit about them not being included in the initial release.
