out of curiosity, zonar, why did you make that post?
Cuz I want an answer out of Joey, for multiple reasons. If you mean the annoyed tone, that was because this is the second time in the span of like 10 posts that people are assuming stuff for no reason (Gheb's being the other one).

I'm off to bed, sisters bday tomorrow. Don't wanna come in all tired-like. Pce.

Ok well I just got to the part of the re-read where Joker doesn't want to touch Ruy with a 10 foot pole and I can see the argument for them being buddies.

My original point also doesn't interfere with that statement. He DOES play more like scum with a NK, just the way he handled Ruy does look like how scumbuddies would do it.

Ash and xonar should both elaborate on their joker ****
Laundry should post, because what he gave end of day while helpful isnt worth as much with it being jr

@ #HBC | Laundry #HBC | Laundry Can I get an updated read/thoughts list?
  1. Joker
  2. Orboknown
  3. Gheb_01
  4. Laundry
  5. Ashemu
  6. Joey
  7. Zozo
  8. Jim Morrison
I admit to having paid basically no attention to Joker or Joey at the end of yesterday so while I thought they were townie, I am not as confident in that anymore. I want to give them a second look again because while I had them as town, I'm becoming less confident in those reads as the game wears on, particularly as my townpool shrinks.

I am town. I think Orbo and Ashemu are town. Orbo's gameplay feels innocent and perceptive of all angles rather than trying to push for any specific agenda outside of scumhunting. He may be playing a solid scum game but I don't have basis for it. Ashemu is replacing Maven, who I still have no idea why others scumread him. I thought every single basis for his lynch was stupid yesterDay and the fact that he's on the table again doesn't make sense to me.

Gheb is scum. Very likely partner to Ruy. I'll be hitting this when I get back.

vote: Gheb

Jimbo is a complete question mark as far as I remember. Would like to see a replacement, not opposed to a lynch albeit I'm a bit wary of a policy lynch at this point.

And that leaves you as a scummer as well if only by PoE.

This is where I am at now. Rereading Joey/Joker is going to change this almost completely though. I am more open to why Ashemu is scum as well but I still have doubts on that lynch.

Loving the irony in this.

:059:
I find yours more ironic. When pressured to narrow down a lynch choice you opened the pool up to four people and took pestering to finally narrow down to Ruy only after about 3 other people had shifted to him and away from me.

Evidence time!

I'm not really crying though. Just getting tired of everybody getting riled up over me reading them as scum. Kantrip does it in every goddamn game as do you and you're virtually always wrong about it.

Please keep it short -.-

Gheb's scum because:

Too much scum on Day 1 for wagons to really work imo. It's too easy to pull the "scum is on my wagon"-card and get away with it because there's no real counter-argument to that. On Day 1 a wagon without a scumbag on it is statistically so unlikely that realistically you always have to assume one to be on anything with more than 3 votes. It's hard to even consider that legit "pressure", which is the only thing an early wagon can achieve in the first place. JR is about connections more than any other setups. Deducing voting patterns will be much more fruitful than hoping that your wagon won't get derailed by a gang of fraudulent non-townies.

:059:
Starts the game off by saying "guys dont do anything scum could be helping you". Introduces the WIFOM of scum having to scumhunt and comes to the conclusion that we shouldn't do anything precisely for the reason that scum have to scumhunt. Trying to dissuade early game scumhunting, why?

Stance on Ruy:

The argument on Laundry is stronger, Gorf. I don't know what you expect from Ryu but I'm not surprised he joins a dumb wagon for poor reasons. I actually would have been more concerned with Ryu had he not joined the wagon at one point of its existence.

:059:
Also, why are justifying Ryu's play again? Stuff like that should not be excued, let alone encouraged. You're pretty much doing the opposite of helping us to find scum.

:059:
(and now he hilariously contradicts himself because he did the exact same in a short span of posts. why justify ruy being less of a lynch target and then tell people off for doing the exact same thing?)

Honestly, the only redeeming thing that Ryu has done all Day was to point out how bad Kantrip's vote on Ryker was.

:059:
I vote you because you're pretty scummy.

:059:
and so on and so forth.

All of this is important to note because, when push comes to shove, Gheb completely abandons this stance in preference and keeps it around a 3-4 option that he doesn't seem like he'd want to take. Look at his posts from the end of yesterday:

Only lynches that have a realistic chance of going through while giving us information at the same time are Laundry and Maven.

:059:
EBWOP: Maven or JM

:059:
... I never said JM is scum.

:059:
When asked why Ruy vanished from his lynchpool:
He's not off the table ... at least not for me.

:059:
Xonar & Ryu
Laundry & Potato

... are likely scumteams imo. Would lynch any of them toDay.

:059:
You, Ryu, Potato or Xonar ... ideally all at once. Since that's not possible ... I'd take any one of these four.

:059:
Unvote Vote Ryu

:059:
Look how many posts it took to get Gheb to put his vote onto Ruy. Despite point-blank admitting that Ruy was not "off the table", he completely removed him from his lynchpool. Despite admitting he never said Jim Morrison was scum, he somehow overtook Ruy as a lynch candidate, to the point where he was even willing to lynch Jim over me, the guy he's been pushing since early d1. He's played pattycake with his Ruy read for most of the game and yet in crunch time he's constantly moved away from it in favor of other options. That screams of a scummer trying to keep his distance from a mate rather than a guy with a legit scumread.

I also think the way he sat on Kantrip most of the game was whack. He simply kept saying he didn't see why he was townie even when Kantrp decided to play the game and kept refusing to progress that read whatsoever. It's not like Kantrip lacked input in the thread yet his read never developed, nor did he seem intent on pushing it more fully.

So, tell me Gheb, why is Xonar scum?

stuff i copy and pasted from note's

i really really dont like laundry's 406 where he justifies his vote as pressure, he comes off scared of ryker. if he really didnt like mavens vote then his initial response should be talking about why teh vote was good, not about why it was OK for him to make

why is laundry still on maven here, he said maven was frustrated town...... its liek he doesnt care who hes voting & really makes u think

and zonar's laundry case yesterday was good. overall tho laundry really dragged his feet on his ruy read and has only been chipping in effort when faced with pressure or a lynch. d1 he was only playing off ryker and it looked like trying to get ryker off his back

vote: laundry for now. im seriously considering just getting jim morrison outta the way though. @ #HBC | Nabe #HBC | Nabe pls pls respond in pm uuugh
I feel like all of this is mostly non-tells. You can continue to crucify me over my Maven vote, I'll continue to point to the fact that there was absolutely nothing else of value going on. Joker vs Joey was a cockfest, Gheb and Ruy had done little to indicate that they were scummy, no one else was posting. Ryker vs Maven was a first real angle into the game and I picked a side.

I was still on Maven because I had yet to decide where I wanted to move my vote. I was in the middle of an extreme catch-up in a rather dangerous situation with a lot of people wanting my head. My bad for not immediately unvoting as soon as I got in the thread. That's not how I play.

I already talked about Xonar's case.

Das a good post.
Laundry, is there something to xonar nagging me the way he is or is it null for him?
Probably scummy. I have no idea why people would scumread you at this point and him trying to drag you down is scummy to me. I have nothing particularly solid but I still see no fair reason to trust him. If he's scum, he's probably not scum with Gheb.

vote: jim morrison
liek i understand you guys all have your scum reads who you want two lynch and whatever but: what has this guy contributed to the mafia game. classic under-the-radar scum imo. a spotlight needs to be put on him now and not later

@#HBC | Zonar - vote jim morrison
@ Orboknown Orboknown - vote jim morrison
@ ~ Gheb ~ ~ Gheb ~ - vote jim morrison
@ #HBC | Laundry #HBC | Laundry - pls vote your cumbuddy w me.
I'd rather not gamble on inactive lynches at this stage in the game. It's why town lost Tranquility. I know you think you have a legit reason to think he's scum but I don't particularly see it. Kindly enlighten me as to why he's scum and not inactive?

I actually have concerns about Gheb (I do with every slot this game) but I wonder if you can nail them. Once again, catching up first. Stick around.
