My dream roster would look like this (with justifications for any non-orthodox picks):

Base game:
- Isaac with Felix Echo
- Ken
- Geno
- Banjo-Kazooie
- Shadow

DLC:

- Rex & Pyra
- Twintelle: I just think she's way more interesting than Spring Man, although much less likely
- Crono: An absolute gaming icon, and Chrono Trigger is a permanent resident of top 10 lists of best games ever. People would be REALLY hype about this.
- Paper Mario: Represents a key part of the Mario franchise. I think Geno will make it in first due to fan demand but Paper Mario really deserves to be in the game imo and I never see him talked about.
- Lloyd: Bandai-Namco is making the game, Lloyd is their second most popular character after Pac-Man, the face of his franchise and the only one with any kind of recognition outside of Japan. Also as an Isaacbro I am contractually obligated to stick up for our homeboy Lloyd.
- Amaterasu (from Okami): I just think she really fits with Smash's aesthetic
- Artorias of the Abyss: Hey, it's a DREAM roster, right?

I think instead of predicting I’ll just say who I wanna see and why

Geno: While I don’t have any attachment to him having never touched his game I know he’s popular and people want him
Amaterasu: Played her games, love em a lot, would be a fantastic fit due to how simple her kit would be but how much technique would be needed to use em well
Skull Kid- Same as geno except I played the game and like him, so basically because people want him
Octolings: I love splatoon and I love the octolings, think of it like this, if they had the inkling kits they could function different using different versions of the weapons like instead of a splattershot they can have octo shot that has a weaker damage modifer but does more damage per shot, or instead of the blaster they get the rapid or range blaster which offers more range, less or more power and so on, and their final smash could be something from splat 2 like idk splash down
Issac: I thought he was cool as the assist in brawl, no idea whwre he comes from but he seems popular
Ken: well it would add more variety with him being the original echo fighter in every strech of the word but maybe he can be more based in his later sf appearences as far as normals go, so relying more on combos and mind games than ryu, being more mobile but having weaker hadoukens but stronger shoryukens, as well as a better side b recovery that is a multi hit, however unlike ryu it just has a lot of hitstun and does multiple weak hits, so it won’t knock anyone away but it will be safe on hit... hopefully
