Man, Blaster my Blastoise... the feels man, the feels.
I get the same feels whenever I boot up Super Mario Bros. 3, too, just like when I played it with my dad and grandfather as a small child.
But man, nothing has feels like Melee does; nothing probably ever will. That game has so many feels, and man, I cannot express all of them, because unlike Pokémon or Super Mario Bros. 3, there are too many to count, and all such memories are so, so, so great to have. And man, that is what made that Evo "One More Year!" chant so special; those people, my smash brothers, know how beautiful this game is, and it means to all of them what it means to me: friends, family, fun, freedom, a fresh start, the future, and most importantly, your own crew of smash brothers.
That is why that moment was something of a spiritual moment for me just to watch even on a live stream, and why that moment nearly brought me to tears of joy the way few, if any things have done. And each and every person who was there and has put that much into that game has those same feelings, but in different ways. I bet that moment was all the more greater live there in that crowd of thousands watching a dozen year old game...
GG Melee, GG. Now, let's go a couple more rounds for new times' sake, and let's see what the better 12 years ahead of us bring to us, eh=???
