Melee brackets starts at 8 AM PST on Friday, and goes until 8 PM Friday (although past 6 PM we get about 4 less pools).
On Saturday, Melee brackets goes from 10 AM PST to noon, sans 1 bracket, which goes from noon to 2 PM.
And on Sunday, we get the Melee Finals baby!!!!

I'm expecting some epic **** this weekend!

It's gonna be mad hype, and anybody who is a somebody will watch it!

I love restrictions. I want always online DRM. I want the game rental business to become obsolete. I don't want to let my friends borrow games, because **** them. All I care about is my god damn new age console that'll blow everything else out of the water! **** the PS4 and **** those Sony guys for catering to fans who care about their gaming experience. **** PC, that **** is stupid. Steam? **** that ****. They never have sales or anything. It's not as affordable as buying my games from the XBL marketplace. I'm guessing that most of the Sony Fanboys/girls are purposely signing this to make it a reality just so that the PS4 will be more enticing.

It would be a great 2D platformer on the WiiU. Think about it; combine the weapons and speed of Uprising, the "climbing" of the original, and just the gameplay of the original with a hint of other platformers, and batabing, bataboom, you got a classic 2D platformer on the WiiU.

The finals will be on Sunday, and the time is yet to be confirmed, as is the case with all games.

Still, Friday is gonna be mad hype, Saturday is gonna be sweet, but man, Sunday is going to be incredible. Melee is gonna steal the spotlight... I'M CALLING IT!!!

We've discussed the fact that any close-to-finished characters will most likely be DLC if it's available, which is likely. Sakurai stated there wasn't time to add every character in the past. Which includes Melee, to some people.

What if DLC wasn't just for close-to-finished characters, but the Melee/Brawl characters who didn't return initially (Pichu and the like included)? I mean, it's Nintendo's 125th Anniversary.

How would everyone feel about that, since you wouldn't have to have the character?

I'm not saying it will happen, in fact, I think it's a shot in the dark. Just wanna see how everyone would take that.

I don't think Pichu is seen as "worthy" for that kind of treatment (being a DLC character).

Mewtwo 100% is, Roy probably is, heck, Doc might even be (judging by how much data he had in Brawl's hidden files), but Pichu... I doubt it.

NEW Super Luigi U definite had some speed, but it wasn't as frantic and so battle-based.

And like I said guns, swords, and action. It wouldn't be merely a 2D platformer, but a 2D action game, much like what Metroid has become (in 2D games).

This wouldn't be bad, as long as they did take a small bit of time to update their movesets possibly. I've seen amazing Pichu ideas over the years that would have been amazing to see, and I can say the same for a bunch of characters "left behind". This would maybe make me consider character DLC a bit more.

I'm pretty sure Sakurai recently said not every character will return, and like in Brawl, my gut tells me that means no more Pichu.

Of course, Sakurai could always change his mind on that, but I don't think he will, unless some really big positive developments happen for both smash games, specifically speaking that the development of both games suddenly gets over lots of hurdles and they are ahead of schedule and a lot of the staff has nothing to do.
