So guys, someone mentioned with the 3DS versions of the game, we could possibly manage to have Swiss Brackets incredibly easily now for 3DS events, what do people think?
Round robin could work since everyone would have their own console.

The desert stage IS Gerudo Valley. It even has the carpenter's tent and Gerudo's Fortress is visible in the background.

Though the geography is slightly altered from the original from Ocarina of Time, it's still pretty much same place. And, of course, there's the music...

I also thought that the stage you were referring to, was a Donkey Kong Country Returns level; But some people have suggested it may be a story mode level, due to Mario's buffed jumps that may be due to the usage of stickers.

The size of the stage could expand across both screens on the 3DS, but it does seem pretty big to be an actual stage.

I will say that the trees and foliage don't really seem true to the Donkey Kong Country style, if it was supposedly a Donkey Kong Country: Returns stage.
Yeah, that definitely looks like an DK-themed adventure mode stage to me, but maybe not one directly ripped from Returns. For an actual Returns stage, you'd think it would be an area with more defining characteristics, like DK's treehouse, bouncy flowers, Tiki ruins, etc.

More than anything, that looks like a 'The Jungle 2' level. :troll:

The fact that people didn't recognize the carpenter's tent and bridge makes me think that some of you haven't played OoT.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time does feel kind of weak compared to later titles in the series, though that could be contributed by the game in general being kind of experimental. I'm probably the only person that thinks this.

Yeah I'm positive it's a DKC:R stage now, the platforms on the rotating wheel have the Tiki's face on them.

Whoa, good catch. Also, for a stretch, the gold showing behind the wheel looks a bit like the giant gong from the Ruined Roost level, albeit without that boss' logo on it.

That maybe the case. I really hope they add more than just the typical jungle level for DK stages. I would really like a music factory, or a minecart stage.

I think that Sonic will get a moveset makeover ala Bowser and Pit, assuming he does make the cut.

Smooth Criminal
Absolutely agreed. I can think of many moves for Sonic to adopt to his moveset in smash but that would take up so much space I dare not. Also with Pit and Bowser changing up I assume he would too

Bounce Attack, Fire Shield/Ring, Magic Gloves, Ancient Light, Wisp Attacks... he's got a lot to go off of.

The Blue Tornado from Sonic Heroes would be cool to see.
He also used it as a boss in Sonic Rush when you faced him as Blaze

Bounce Attack, Fire Shield/Ring, Magic Gloves, Ancient Light, Wisp Attacks... he's got a lot to go off of.
Plus the boost from Rush/Unleashed/Colors/Generations could become a move perhaps. Also he has a whole moveset from Sonic Battle they never even touched on.

He did use Shadow Rocket from the same game, though. Sonic's costumes, with the exception of his dark one, is changed in the same small way you can for Emerl. So there's some cues from Battle.

Oh that is right. My bad derp. Also he could if they REALLY wanted him to. Use Chaos Control [this would likely cause confusion with the Shadow Assist trophy because it would be a warp instead of a time slower]

Sonic Wind from SA2 could also be a projectile if they really wanted him to have one of those too.

It could be a teleport or a boost move similar to Fox/Falco/Wolf's.

I'd go with Sonic Wave/Storm. Storm's coming back for Lost World, notably.

Very true very true that would be more likely. Also I could see his recovery being 1 of 5 things.

Spring is kept
Tails grabs him for flight
Rocket Wisp
Chaos Control.
Electric Shield

1) MegaMan has a similar move, so he might get something new.
2) I like.
3) Could work, but it's pretty much Fox's Up B, unless it only goes upwards and he slowly drifts down.
4) Could be hard to program.
5) Ehhhhhhhhhhh. That wouldn't get much air time.

Do we have confirmation of Rush actually hurting anyone like Sonic's spring does?
There may have been an instance where he used rush to attack in the Mario vs Mega Man demo

Nope, don't think so. At least not yet. He's just there and then he disappears after a bit.
Not that I know of. It doesn't look like he does from the footage we have seen. Looks like he'd be more of an obstacle to dodge.
The instance I was talking about was talking about occurs at 0:48 (Don't forget to mute if watching ;))
He barely misses Mario, so i guess we'll have to wait until we have footage of rush actually interacting over an opponent when falling.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rush can damage your opponents though. It would be nice if you could get him to run after your opponents and bite them. Could he do that in the Megaman games? (Yes I'm a newbie to Megaman and only played Megaman one briefly on the 3DS Virtual console)

Rush could become a Jet, Submarine and some other things but he never attacked. Unless you count the merged form he and Megaman had the Super Adaptor

Oh I see, ah well then so much for that. Would have been fun to see. :p
It would have been xD.

Still wondering what Mega's final smash is. Rush Adaptor or one of his screen clearing moves like Rain Flush seem to be the ideal choices. Hmm..

I feel that a 3rd Kid Icarus stage can be pushed but onto the 3ds version. We know that there's likely to be a main one that will be on both systems, and with Uprising on the 3ds, there's always that chance, but what do I know?
